Before the party City People Magazine team spent an afternoon with her at their Lagos home and we found her to be a very, very intelligent lady who shares a lot with her husband. She is pretty. Her husband is handsome. And they are both stylish too.

Below are details of her interview with City People Publisher, SEYE KEHINDE.

You recently turned 40 and you marked it. How do you feel?

I feel good. I feel great. I am really thankful to the almighty. I thank him because been here today is through his Grace and Mercy. When I look back I say thank you father. I can really grateful and thankful to God and grateful to him. Each time I look back it makes me feel elated. Its all to God.

I feel grateful to the Almighty.

How did it start for Oloori Aderonke 40 years ago?

Where were you born? Which schools did you attend?

I was born in Ibadan. I attended primary school back in Ibadan. My growing up years has been in Ibadan. I went to primary and secondary school Ikare. I attended St. Theresas College from there, I came to Lagos where I started my tertiary education. I went to Lagos State University  (LASU).

I studied Accounting in LASU and from there I started working while working I went for my Masters in UNILAG. In those days, I was working as a Banking. So while working as a Banker I had to study Banking & Finance in University of Lagos for my Masters.

When you left banking what else did you go into?

From Banking I came to Adron Homes. Whilst I was in the bank my husband was running Adron Homes. Infact, I had to leave banking so that I could be actively involved in the running of Adron  Homes.

How did you find the transition from banking to real estate?

It was seamless, because I wasn’t totally new to it.

While in the bank, I was part and parcel of the company in a way, just that I wasn’t resuming 9 to 5pm in Adron Homes. But, from the beginning, right from the very first day of the company we were together doing it. The transition was seamless.

How did you meet your husband? What years was this?

We grew up together in Ibadan and we we’re known ourselves as kids, even then it was just as friends. It was Ade Boy –Ronke Girl. You know we were just little kids in the same neighbourhood in Ibadan.

That was at Anfani area in Ibadan. At a point of course, everybody went their separate ways. We never even knew, in those days, nobody knew, not even us, not even our parents knew that we were going to become husband and wife. As God ordained it, somehow we became husband and wife. Looking back, it has been a wonderful journey together by his grace. Its been 10 years as Husband and wife.

To the glory of God, we always say it when we reflect back, we always say: Ah, our father, we thank you for this Union, because we have never known a better yesterday, or yester month or yester year. God did it for us. On the day of our wedding, my father-in-law said something notable that day. Some notable happened that day. It was April and I don’t think April is a raining period per se.

But on that morning, the weather was so cold, we just had little drizzle. And it stopped and for the whole of the day, there was no scorching son, there was no heat, there was no rain, everything was just calm. The weather was serene and beautiful. My father-in-law said that day that wow, this wedding is special and that God had ordained this day. Since that day, it has been wonderful. Can you tells us a bit about your husband.

What sorts of a person he?

He is a very, very focused person. He is a man of Wisdom. I really appreciate God, in him, for that. He is full of wisdom. He is generous to a fault. He is a man of the people. He is hardworking. He stresses himself for people. He is a good man.

What were those striking things you noticed about him then than endeared you to him?

It dates back a long time. We started our relationship way back, when I was 5 and he as 7. Then, in those early years I couldn’t really a lot about him then. We were small.

All I can recollect is that he was a nice person. However, we came to meet again in1996. I was 19 and he was about 21. Then, we came to meet again after that break, as born-again Christians. That was what attracted us to each other. He fears God. And I equally fear God. I noticed then that he was a focused person.

He is a dogged person. And he puts passion on everything he does. Even then, when we came together again on the platform of Christianity, he was very passionate about God. He will go for Village Evangelism. He was very dogged. He is a man of passion. I noticed that in him back in 1996 while he was not even working any where them. He was still in school. Both of you share a lot in common.

You are beautiful. He is handsome. Both of you are very fashionable. How did you achieve this feat?

(Smiles) some people have said so too. That confirms what some people have said that this union is purely Gods choice. Nobody designed it that way. It is just coincidental, orchestrated by God, that this handsome man will be married to this beautiful lady and their product will be beautiful both physically and in every other way in life. Its Gods own design. Many don’t know that you are actively involved in the running of Adron Homes & Properties as an ED.

How do you see the Phenomenal growth of Adron in just 5 years?

Oh Yes, I am involved in the running of Adron. The growth of Adron Homes is sporadic. It can only be God. Many people, when they hear of Adron Homes they think it is a company that has been in existence for years. A man once said to us that he thinks he was been hearing that name for 15 or 20 years. Adron is just 5 years and the growth has been beyond our own comprehension we have seen the raw hands of almighty God.

Even the way the growth came was shocking. We knew of course that the company will grow with the passion and focus God has given to the Visioner, we knew Growth and Expansion will come. Its God given.

Which aspects of Adron do you run?

I handle the area of Finance.

I studied Finance in School. I read Accounting in my first degree. I went ahead to study Banking and Finance. Naturally as a person I am somebody who is calculating. I am purely focused on the finance aspect of Adron Home. I am also involved in Interior and Finishing aspects of hour homes. I love interior decoration and we have a department in Adron that we call Finishing.

That is another aspect that I am interested in. I mean the finishing aspect of construction. I am also taking care of that aspect. I make sure our finishing are perfecting and top notch. We go for great standards that you can have any where in the world.

Why the choice of Adrons corporate colours?

You mean the Lemon colour. That is purely the idea of my husband. We came about Lemon, when Adron was to Kick off as a company. We used to have orange. He looked at Lemon and said it’s a good colour, that Lemon speaks of Fruitfulness, abundance and its beautiful.

Not just that. its non exhaustic Lemon colour has so many features.

Just before your birthday, your husband went on line to celebrate you, posting your photos, extolling your virtues. How did you feel?

Wow. I felt good that my husband has seen my virtues and has decided to celebrate me. I feel honoured. I feel blessed to have a man like my husband because not all men are like that. I feel blessed to have him as a husband. Both of you attend Winners Church.

How did you start going there?

He started going to Winners Chapel as a single man. When we got married I did not naturally join him because of the distance. I was fellowship in Redeemed. I drew him to Redeemed from Winner. He followed me to Redeemed for some years only for him to say to me. Come, God is telling me to go back to Winners.I had not choice I had to go back with him. And I am very grateful to God that I did.

My perception of the church before I started going there was different from what I now came to see and experience in the church. Since he came back to winners and I joined him I must say I thank God. I love Winners Chapel. I love my Bishop. We both agreed on the same goal and the goal has been a good one.

Winners Chapel is a lovely church.

How do you unwind and relax?

Do I really unwind? I am always busy. I wish I had leisure time. If I am not working in the office, I will actually working at home. I am always online. Do I really have time to unwind? But we go on vacation together. I don’t travel alone. I travel with my husband. That is the only time I unwind. It is always for a short time. Even on Sundays we go to church and our church is far. It takes most of the time on Sundays.

We spend most of our time on Sunday in church. We leave very early on Sunday and we usually come back late afternoon. So what you do is to cook, eat, rest and sleep and work starts the following day.You just turned 40, but you don’t look 40.

What’s the secret?

Thank you Jesus. I have had many people telling me that. I don’t look my age. I think it’s the glory of God. I look 40 in my own eyes, but people say I don’t look 40.

It’s the grace and glory of and because I don’t do any special thing. My exercise is not regular. I wanted to have a regular exercise. But I don’t eat any how though.

What are your reflections at 40?

I thank God that he has made achieve all my hearts desire at 40. I normally have a 10 years plan for my self.

When I was 30 I had my 10 year plan. I want to give glory to the almighty because the 10 years plan I had when I was 30, God in his infinite mercy has enabled me to be able to achieve most, 70% to 80%. I have my plans for the next 10 years I pray to him to be able to achieve it 100%.
