Early this year, the General Overseer and the founder of THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH OF YAHWEH, Theophilus Oluwasanu Olabayo celebrated his 72nd birthday. It was on the 24th of February, 2018. The church is situated at no 36, Bamidele Adebule Street, Arowojobe Estate, Mende, Maryland Lagos, Nigeria.
The Prophet of God, who is known for his accurate predictions and prophecies and in giving the counsel of God to the nation and people around him, also marked the 45th anniversary of THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH OF YAHWEH and launched his Magazine, ‘THE TESTIMONY’
Let’s quickly remind you of some of his remarkable prophecies in recent times. Did you remember when God asked him to tell the late Chief M.K.O. Abiola, years before the election of 1993, that he would win the election but he would not occupy the seat of President? He also told Gen. Diya (rtd) that the man seeking to eliminate him would die and he would be released from incarceration. These and other messages God has used him to deliver to the world and they came to pass. Recently, God, through him, said Governor Obiano would retain his seat in Anambra State. That is now history.
Primate Olobayo was born on 24th February 1946 to Pa Joseph and Omolanke both of Ogori town. His father was from Aisoni Adaka Royal family, while his mother was from Eminefo Clan of Ogori. He is a Prince of Ogoriland the lineage of Apariyemo Ologbo, who begat Ikutuna, the father of Joseph Olabayo, the father of Theophilus Oluwasanu Olabayo. The birth of Theophilus Oluwasanu had been predicted by both Christian and non- Christians. The great warrior and Ogori spiritualist, Uboro Jagajigi, had predicted the coming in the near future of a Prophet of International repute coming from the Olabayo’s lineage, while others like Kokonikoja Anwowo, Ogbajiri, Oya and Ovi Oga all of Ogori, predicted in the same vein. The most remarkable prophetic utterance came from a popular Christian Evangelist and Prophet of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Apostolic Joseph Babalola, who in the 50’s announced that the Ogori royal family would in future produce a major Prophet of God, who would be an Evangelist to the whole world. As Theophilus Olabayo grew, the prophecy was remembered and he was identified as the one. Theophilus Oluwasanu was baptised at St.Peter’s Anglican Church, Ogori, but was also given the name Jimoh, , by his uncle, Alhaji Akande, the Chief Imam of Magongo because he was born on a Friday.
He is a special breed, spiritually, unlike many prophets. He was born a prophet. His prophetic gifts had manifested since he was age 3. At that age, his family believed he was an “Ogbanje” because of the accuracy of his predictions. He was referred to as “Woli Okeke”, which in Ogori language means “Small Prophet”.
The small prophet has grown and matured into a great Prophet of God.
Last week, at his Lagos church he spoke to City People Publisher SEYE KEHINDE about the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as PDP’s flag bearer and why he and President Buhari might collide in 2019 if care is not taken. Below are excerpts.
Primate Olabayo is a respected man of God who runs his Yahweh Evangelical Church in Lagos. Last week, he dropped a bombshell when he spoke about what to expect in the forthcoming 2019 elections. “What is happening in the country is very alarming. Corruption has become the order of the day now. During Pres. Jonathan’s time I warned them about the corruption going on. They didn’t listen.”
“In the past, I have made many predictions which came to pass. I predicted that MKO Abiola will win but he won’t be installed. Many didn’t believe me then. When late Pres. Yar Adua fell ill his wife called us. They said we should say Jonathan can never be Vice President. I said No. She said we should say her husband can never die. I was the only one that said the husband will die and Jonathan will take over.”
“But other Pastors say there can’t be terrorism in this country. I said there will be. By then, there was no terrorism. When the problem started I said, but I warned you at that time.”
“Before Ekiti election, I was the one who said if they field Fayemi they will win elections. They used Fayemi and they won. The same thing in Osun. God told me APC will win Osun and they won the elections. Even Anambra. God told me the man will retain his seat and it happened.
The same thing in Ondo State. When some people were saying Saraki will be President I said No. God didn’t tell me that. Nowadays, when politicians want to say something. They look for someone who is not a prophet they will ask him to say you are going to be this and that, spreading money. Saraki’s father was my friend. God did not send me to him I knew he will not be President. When they were doing all these PDP Convention, I told everyone that Atiku will win. Atiku won the elections.
But 2019 will be a tough one. What we are going to face is that we are heading to an era where we are going to face money politics.
That is money will fight money. We need to pray because it might lead this country to another problem. There will be crisis upon crisis. We need to pray. It will not be business as usual. This time around it is Men that are fighting Men, not Men fighting Boys or Boys fighting Men. Look, Buhari will use the power of incumbency, but Atiku will not agree. They are going to fight each other to finish and the election may be inconclusive. That is why we need to pray for this country. If the election is inconclusive there may be a revolution.”
“The young people may not agree. They may take over the country. This is what is going to happen. We need to tell our leaders. They should stop Hate Speeches if they want this country to move forward.”
“They should stop engaging these people who say they are prophets when they are not prophets and all these mallams.”
“They are using our money to fight us again. That is the sad part of it. All these corrupt leaders will end up in prison. That is what God told me. All their ill-gotten wealth will be taken away from them.”
“Over 20 years ago God had told me that a man of destiny will take over Nigeria.”
In 2015, people thought it was Buhari. I said No. He is not. It will still happen. When he comes he will rule between 3 and 5 years. After that, there will restructuring. There will be Vice Presidents in about 6 or 7 zones. There will be a loose federation. But in this country, we need to pray very well. We don’t want to go into war. Our politicians and leaders should not lead us to war. People will support Atiku. He is popular.”
“But we have to tell our leaders that they must stop hate speeches, that the presidential election can be peaceful because I can see crisis upon crisis. We need the grace of God.”
“I don’t mince my words. I say it as it is Years back when they interviewed me about MKO Abiola, I told them they are going to kill MKO Abiola. I said it. People didn’t believe it. And it happened. I don’t have money but I have God. Nigeria is not for sale. Nigerians won’t agree this time around.”
“It is sad that many of our Pastors have sold out. Men of God have sold out. But I know God will deliver this country. There will be no war In Jesus Name. Atiku and Buhari should avoid Crisis. They should be careful not to plunge this country into crisis.”
“They should warn their followers to stop hate speeches, that many lead this country to another thing.
What can stop crisis is for the followers of the 2 to stop hate speeches. So that this election will not lead us to a crisis that may lead to war.”
“As from 1st to 3rd of November Nigerians must pray and fast for Mercy of God.”
“Another thing that can lead to crisis is in the result of the Presidential elections between Buhari and Atiku. Buhari is the incumbent. Atiku is a strong candidate. He is not a pushover. The only thing that can help us is in the margin of votes. We pray that the margin of the man that wins can be higher. If not, the other person will not accept. And there is going to be problems. The only thing that can help us is prayers and they should stop hate speeches. Whoever wins should accept. Whoever loses should also accept. Buhari is going to use incumbency.”
“In 2015, Jonathan accepted defeat. But this time around things would not be easy.”
“In Imo State they have to warn the Governor there not to cause a commotion that may lead to war. Even in Ogun &Oyo State. In Lagos, we need a lot of prayers because enemies will rise against the APC. Some of the leaders in this country may die if they are not full of prayers through heart attack because they will be disappointed, all over. Godfathers have to mellow down. God is not in support of what they do, they have to change.”
“People should watch out. There will be so many kidnappings and Killings. Political…assassination will be so rampant, between now and 2019. If there is a crisis upon crisis and there is no solution, God will raise up a leader who will clear all of them. So they have to be careful. That is why they need to be very, very careful. So that the youth will not rise against them. If they don’t stop all these nonsense, the youth will tell them enough is enough.”
“My advice to Buhari, Atiku, Tinubu & Co is that they should warn their followers to stop hate speeches. They should take the interest of the nation more than themselves.”
“They should avoid Greed. They should show love. Those who lose should accept. On fake prophets, he advised fake prophets to stop it. It is not my own to judge or condemn anybody. Politicians, when they are desperate go for fake prophets or anybody, give them small money and they will tell the fake pastors to go and tell Nigerians that I would become President. Like Saraki now. He has people praying for him everywhere. They want him to be President, both Marabouts and Prophets. Saraki has to be patient. He is too ambitious. That is it. Atimes you may say somebody is going to be President.”
“It doesn’t have to be today. It may be in future. We must all learn to be patient. Its only God that determines when.
There are so many people who say they are prophets but they are not prophets. They are businessmen. They collect money from politicians. Some of these prophets are young people who are just coming up. I have been in this line of prophecy for decades. People know me for it. Now, I am over 70.”
“The young ones have to learn. They have to mellow down. See what happened to Rev. Father Mbaka. He supported Jonathan before. When quarrel started, he gave predictions in favour of Buhari and APC. Now they don’t like him again because he said something the Aso Rock people don’t like. That is why it’s not good for one to be close to the government.”
“My prediction on Buhari in 2015 has come to pass. He is not the Messiah.”
“See what is happening to Buhari now. His government is being run by a Cabal. The corruption under Buhari is more than it was under Jonathans era now. And the killings are mind-boggling now. In the North right now, the killings have continued but the Press is no more reporting. Buhari is an old man.”
“He is not the Messiah. His time is up. That seat is vacant. Nobody is there. That is what I can see. All God has used him for is to come in and stabilize the system. His time is up now. That is what God says.”
