How She Hosted 4 Parties Within 5 Months
On Saturday March 10th, 2018, the Ibadan’s prominent society woman and textile merchant Jadesola Qudus was bestowed upon with yet another chieftaincy tittle of the “Iyalaje of Ede land”. Jade was one of the outstanding personalities honoured by Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal (Laminisa 1), as the revered monarch marked his 10th year coronation anniversary.
Though the confirmation ceremony was a general one held inside the permanent orientation camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Ede but Jade Qudu got her own tent where she hosted her guests from Ibadan, Abuja, Osun State and beyond. It was indeed a classy reception for Jade’s guests, as they enjoyed good tunes from K1 while they merry till very late in the night.
The tremendous turnout of top celebrities in honour of Jade as she was confirmed the Iyalaje of Ede has proven that, it is good to be good. As that served as a kind pay back for Jade’s good deeds. Jade is a woman with larger heart; she treats people with so much respect and she is always in supportive when necessary. The party drew a lot of people to Ede, many of her friends stormed the party. Despite the fact that Jade didn’t make noise about it, people still turned out en masse.
Amongst the top celebrities who graced the party include the popular construction expert, Otunba Lekan Osifeso who came all the way from Abuja; top businessman and a prominent hotelier Laide Okunola, Chairman, Citizen Hotel, Sagamu, who came with his beautiful wife, Bimbo; Hon. Lukman Gbadegesin; Mr. & Mrs. Andre Olajide; Omo Oba Soji Ologbenla; BKK Ultimo boss, Alhaji Beshir Kolawole Kuti and his lovely wife, Bisi Kuti; Yinka Oropo and his wife, Bukky; Ayo Alade; Alhaja Toyin Hassan; Alhaja Bose Adedibu; Chief (Mrs.) Dupe Adeleke-Sanni; Alhaja Sade (Agbeni); Chief (Mrs.) Tina Ogundoyin; Alhaja Toyin Okesola; Alhaja Idera Ogunbanjo; Alhaji Yaya Badara; Alhaja Ganiyat Badmus; Alhaji Taye Arolu; Alhaja Bola Oloburo and several others. This is aside the prominent Obas who Jade is very close to and present at the, especially the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111 who decorated the new Chiefs at the occasion.
The Ede party makes it the 4th party that Jade Qudus will be holding in a space of five months. Last year, precisely October 14th 2017, her son got married in a grand style in Abuja. Ibadan, as well as other social establishment practically shifted to International Conference Centre, Abuja, the venue of the party. Abuja was shot down, the best of the best event vendors were on ground and provided all the necessary services that made the event a memory one. Up till now the event is still talked about in Ibadan. Just as that one was settling, this year January Jade was made the Erelu of Ikale land. Though she kept that one a low key affairs; few of her friends knew about it. Last month again, her daughter’s introduction took place; that also was a private party. Then now came the Ede where she was made the Iyalaje.
All these confirmed the fact that Jade Qudus is a silent achiever. She doesn’t make noise about her successes despite being a society woman. She works hard and makes good money through her textile business. In fact, she is a major stakeholder in her line of business at Gbagi Market. She is cool, calm and loving. She is rich and popular and has many friends yet she keeps her circle very slim. Her best friend is Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, they have come a long way. They both love hosting people a lot and that is why it wasn’t surprising to those who know what Jade Qudus represents, putting up that kind of wonderful party in Ede and many of the parties she has hosted.
