It was indeed a night of glitz and glamour, as movie star, Ibrahim Chatta premiered his latest movie titled “Olokiki Oru” (The Midnight Sensation) on 3rd February, 2019, at the 10 Degrees Event Centre, Billingsway, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos. The event was witnessed by the creme-de-la-creme of the society, movie veterans and stars in the industry.
It was anchored by Gbenga Adeyinka de 1st and standup comedian, Princess Oluwadamilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess.
Guests were entertained by Fuji star, King (Dr. Saheed Osupa), and other guest artistes such as Saoti Arewa, Dele Blacko (Okiki Band Canada) were on hand to entertain guests. DJ Karmon was also the official DJ for the night. There was so much to eat and drink, as the event was funfilled, with lots of side attractions from upcoming artistes.
The movie Olokiki Oru is about ‘Ayero’, a fearless armed robber who was tricked into robbing a town no man alive can rob, Asinde, by his gang who are dying to have the bootie from the night’s raid to themselves. He is killed and buried for many years. Akala has been a dreaded armed robber who has been plundering towns except for his own, Ayegbami, because deadly series of conflict ensues as Ayeto refuses to let go of Iyunade, the woman who had decided to stay with him and have begun to change his life, and neither does Akala want him to win at this one too. “Olokiki Oru” is a star-studded movie.
GBENGA ADEYINKA THE 1ST AND PRINCESS OLUWADAMILOLA ADEKOYA: A PERFECT COMBINATION
Standup comedians, Gbenga Adeyinka de 1st and Princess Oluwadamilola Adekoya were the masters of ceremony for the event. They are both very good at what they do, they cracked guests up and made the event fun filled without any dull moment. They left guests asking for more of their jokes.
TOYIN KOLADE AS MOTHER OF THE DAY
Popular businesswoman and mother figure to a lot of movie stars, Princess Toyin Kolade was the mother of the day. She was gorgeously dressed in white as usual, her presence added so much class and glamour to the event. She came with her entourage to support Ibrahim Chatta and stars presents at the event took turns to greet her specially for always supporting the industry.
IBRAHIM CHATTA’S WIFE OLAIDE AISHA CHATTA LOOKING GORGEOUS IN PINK
Pretty Olaide Aisha Chatta was gorgeously dressed in pink outfit, she was on her feet, althrough the event, greeting invited guests, and also making sure, everything went on well. She was spotted most times with her cute son, who wore brown native.
VETERANS HONOUR IBRAHIM CHATTA
The list is endless, as lots of movie veterans were present to support their own. Veterans and movie makers like Tunde Kelani, Anta Laniyan, Yetunde Wunmi, Kunle Afod, Madam Saje, Bose Akinola, Rukayat Lawal, Ayo Ewebiyi, Toyosi Adesanya, Ayo Adesanya, Murphy Afolabi, Odunlade Adekola, Foluke Daramola, Femi Adebayo, Aina Gold and so many others. It was indeed a star-studded event.
IBRAHIM CHATTA’S FRIENDS ON THEIR TOES ON THROUGH THE EVENT
The committee of the event which comprises of stars like Murphy Afolabi, Bisola Badmus, Moshood Mayegun, Shola Akintunde, Toyosi Adesanya, Rukayat Lawal, Bose Akinola, Madam Saje, Ayanfe, were all dressed in a crested T-shirt on a jean, they were all on their feet althrough, making sure all guests were properly taken care off and everybody was comfortable.
AYO EWEBIYI
Popular veteran actress and musician, Ayo Ewebiyi with her crew members also performed at the event. Her performance added so much music and tradition to the event.
DJ KARINO WAS ALSO THE OFFICIAL DJ FOR THE EVENT
Popular DJ Karino played some nice and well selected music to the listening pleasure of the guests.
SAHEED OSUPA ENTERTAINS THE GUESTS
King (Dr) Saheed Osupa is no doubt loved by lots of people, especially the Yoruba movie stars. He turned the venue upside down as he performed some of his selected tracks to the listening pleasure of the guests. They were all on their feet, as they danced to his songs, and also sprayed him endlessly.
DELE BLACKO (OKIKI BAND CANADA)
With love from Canada, Dele Blacko and his crew members also entertained the guests at the event.
SAOTI AREWA TOO
Popular Islamic musician, Saoti Arewa was not left out too, he was one of the side attractions of the night. As he entertained guests, they equally stood up and danced to his songs.
MADAM SAJE’S MOTHERLY ROLE
Veteran actress, Madam Saje was among the Committee Members for the movie premiere. This highly respected veteran didn’t sit down for a minute, she was up and doing, serving guests.
KUNLE AFOLAYAN STOOD OUT
Popular movie producer and director, Kunle Afolayan, entered the venue of the event in grandstyle, with his expensive car, and unique outfit. He was also made to perform one of his late father’s songs on the stage by the MC of the event Gbenga Adeyinka de 1st. Guets were carried along, as most of them sang along with him.
ODUNLADE ADEKOLA, FEMI ADEBAYO AND BAKARE ADDED LITTLE DRAMA TO THE MOVIE PREMIERE
Multi-talented actor, Odunlade Adekola made the launching proper very comic, as he made jokes out of his donation. He also called up Femi Adebayo to join him in supporting one of their own, Ibrahim Chatta. In the process of doing this, Laide Bakare, who also sat with them, joined them in the comedy, and they ended up cracking a lot of guests up.
