She owns a Catering business (Abula Spot) Fespris Clothing, Spa and Event Planning Company, Fespris Lounge amongst others. She also manages Fedel Wears, Prisy Closet and Priscy Deluxe which belongs to her 2 children.
She always talks about her rag to riches story, to inspire mostly single mothers in the society. According to one of her many posts. “I refuse to be lazy, I refused to allow my mistakes and situation move and and take the better part of me. Yes, sometime I break down most especially when my baby fell ill and I know say no money, hmmm, the tears were so uncontrollable but I never gave up”.
Today, Iyabo Ojo is one of the most successful actresses in the entertainment industry. In attaining so much success in life, she didnt attain it alone, but rather, she dragged her children along. They are both not just famous but also successful, most especially Priscilia, who today is one of the wave making influencers on social media with mouth watering endorsement deals from different highly recognised and successful brands. Just recently, she took a break from social media and all of a sudden, came back with a bang. According to her, she has been working on several projects with her children, Festus and Priscillia.
Then on 30th Sunday April 2023, they had a grand opening of their master piece. Another Fespris Clothing outlet in Chevron Lekki. The very classy event was witnessed by A-list stars in the industry such as Rita Dominic, Susan Peters, Mercy Aigbe, Kemi Afolabi. Pretty Mike of Lagos, Lilian Afegbai, Eniola Ajao, CEO of Larrits Shoes, U.K based promoter, Dupe, CEO B & N promotions, Anita Joseph, Funke Etti among so many other. And of course her sweetheart Paul Okoye was also beside her to give her all the support.
When asked why she had always encouraged her children to go into business, she said: People that know me and familiar with my story, know that I have always been a business person, even before I started acting. I started business, and even while acting I never gave up on my business. I am not that person that achieves a particular set goal, then relax I always want more and also break barriers. This has really helped me in life and I need to teach my children to do same.”
“I want them to be dependable and responsible and I also want them to have that hustling spirit, so that no matter what may happen in life, they will be able to survive and prosper.”
“Secondly, I want to be responsible in their spending, once they understand making money is not easy, they will always have value for every kobo they work for. They need to work very hard and achieve things in life, so teaching and grooming them now, is the best way to go about it, so they can be used to the hustling lifestyles. They didn’t sit down and manner fell from heaven. For every success in life, a lot of hardwork, dedication is required so they need to know all these.”
She has been off social media the past few days, what is responsible for that? “Yes, I have actually been off and on, because this requires a lot of hardwork. As you see, and we need to put finishing touches to many things. And I carried my children along in all I do, so at any giving point in life, they should be able to make decisions. It was a joint thing because it is their business too, so their ideas are equally needed to run this properly.”
How do you feel as a mother with all you have been able to achieve and your kids doing well too? “It’s not by my power, I give God all the glory, and honestly am super grateful for the kind of children God has blessed me with. I have always wanted them to be greater than me, and God has been so faithful.
