The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Iyiola Oyedepo, has rejected the defection of Senate President Bukola Saraki to the party.
He has subsequently dumped the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Oyedepo made the announcement on Wednesday morning in Ilorin, the state capital.
Oyedepo insisted that he can never work with Saraki.
“Darkness and light can never work together and I can never work with Saraki. I will rather pitch my tent with the APC instead of working with Saraki in PDP”.
Oyedepo had last week held talks with key players of Kwara APC and Minister for Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, in order to absorb his political structure and integrate them into the party..
