They might have only announced their shock engagement a few weeks ago, but plans for Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin’s wedding are already running full steam ahead.
So much so, the bridesmaids have already been decided – but sadly, there’ll be no Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid in the bridal party.
Instead – well, according to Kim Basinger (Hailey’s aunt – who knew?) – there will be two women who get to wear pastel coloured frocks and clutch a bouquet of colour-coordinated flowers, and they are Alaia Baldwin and Ireland Baldwin, Hailey’s sister and cousin.
Kim said: “Oh, it’ll be fun. Alaia and Ireland, they’re in the wedding. So believe me, I just—it’s cool! I think it’s sweet. It’s a very sweet thing. Happiness … We’re living in some really dire times right now.”
Kim said that she seems happy for Hailey, 21, and Justin, 24, even if the engagement looks like it’s totally come out of the blue.
“I’m very, very happy for Hailey. I think it’s a good thing. I think Justin’s a cool guy. I don’t really know him at all, but Ireland does, you know?
“I think he’s come through a rough road. He’s a really cool kid. I pray for them. I hope they’re cool. I hope they’re happy! It’s wild! I think it’s wild!”
Hailey is returning the favour for Alaia, as she was her maid of honour at her wedding ten months ago.
The young couple got engaged in the Bahamas ten days ago, when two women saw Justin ask the model to be his wife.
The witnesses claim Justin’s security told everyone in the restaurant they were at to put their phones away because something special was about to happen, with the singer proposing to Hailey in front of everyone there.
But they’re no strangers to each other, they’ve dated in the past and appear to have got back together following his second split from Selena Gomez.
Just one hour ago, Justin’s father Jeremy posted on Instagram about how proud he was of his son.
Sharing a snap of the Canadian pop star, he wrote: “@justinbieber Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!”
