“I love being myself with everything I wear. Anything I choose to wear, I make sure that I pick accessories to go with it. I don’t have any special colour. I am not attached to any. All I do is to open my wardrobe and pick something that I know suits the occasion I want to attend.”
She has always been a card-carrying member of PDP and a prominent member of the party.
“I am a single mother, and a very responsible one at that. I love my kids and I like being there for them, I also have business meetings to attend. At least, one has to make money to make ends meets. To beat both, I create time to attend parties and other social matters that comes up. And as a politician, there are meetings and get-togethers to attend.
So when she is not politicking or attending to business, what does she do? “I’m more at home like I said. I am very homely. I like spending quality time with my kids and family. I also have a break once in a while, travel out to relax, put on my jeans and T-shirt and take a breath of fresh air.
We also took her up on her political ambition. She says she is ready to represent her people in Ekiti.
Can she let us into her educational background? “Yes of course. I am a graduate of Business Administration from Shiller International University, London, England. A second degree in Business Management from La Verne University, La Verne, California, USA. On her return, she enjoyed her National Youth Service Corp in Lagos, Nigeria.” She has found these degrees highly useful in many areas of her business, politics and day-to-day life.

How has she kept her shape? “The truth of the matter is that it is God’s doing. I don’t exercise. I eat a lot. I don’t make any extra effort. It is just a gift from God. And the glory of the Lord. I don’t carry issues on my mind. I don’t go to bed with any issue bothering. I leave it to God to judge. That is why I go to bed with ease.”
“Everybody knows me, I respect people. I treat them with a lot of courtesy. I say sorry at the slightest opportunity. When I offend you, I am quick to apologize. But those I can’t change and convince to change, I keep them at arm’s length. That is also why I pick the parties I go to. I get invited to a lot of parties, but I can’t go to every party. So I choose which ones to go for. And I don’t overstay my limits. I am a workaholic. I work very, very hard and I reach out to people to help them. I also support my friends.”
“I am not a rich person. But I am comfortable. I am content with the little that I have. I am also very prayerful. I like to put anything and everything to God in prayers.”
“I don’t keep to any regimen. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I eat what I like. The only thing is I pick where I go and I try to be myself. Most of the time, I know my limits. I know my limitations and I don’t go beyond it. That’s why I don’t stretch to get what I know I can’t get. I am contented with the little God has blessed me with. I am happy with myself. My mm makes me happy. My 2 daughters make me happy. My siblings and their spouses make me happy. All those around me radiate joy. I am happy with myself. I give God the glory. I have peace of mind. I often don’t carry any heavy issue on my mind not to talk of sleeping with a heavy heart. I pass all my worries to God. And as a Christian I have learnt how to deal with all the issues that come my way”.
