The premiere of “Wages,” the latest project from Kingsview TV, occurred at Azer Cinema Pinnacle Mall, Christ Embassy Road, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The event, held on July 21, 2024, introduced a faith-based film that brings a fresh perspective to the Nollywood genre, weaving a narrative of redemption and transformation within the modern IT world.
Directed and produced by Efe Tobori, “Wages” explores contemporary issues within the IT world, showing how young people involved in online scams find faith and transformation. The film conveys the message that no matter how far one has strayed, redemption is always within reach, emphasizing that Jesus is coming soon and that the wages of sin are not death but forgiveness through repentance.
Efe Tobori shared the vision for the film, which was inspired by an undisclosed pastor who originally shared the idea with him four years ago. Efe Tobori noted that the storyteller in a way conveyed his personal journey to Christ and the changes that followed, prompting the creation of a film that resonates with today’s youth.
The cast of “Wages” graced the premiere, including Raymond Adeka, Osasu Esemuede, Eniola Olowofoyeku, DJ Izybeatz, Victor Ijeomah, Omitchel Okon, Michael Ejoor, and others. Some of the actors shared their experiences and excitement about the project with City People Reporter.
