Fast rising Nigerian singer, Sugarboy has announced his debut album entitled Believe. His label mate, Kiss Daniel is the only artiste featured on the 22-track album.
The studio work is planned to drop on April 22, 2017.
‘Not featuring any other artiste on my album asides Kiss Daniel who I collaborated with on two tracks is part of the label’s (G-Worldwide) strategy,’ said Sugarboy.
The ‘label collaboration’ strategy will likely be reversed in two years when both artistes are expected to have more clout in the industry.
Sugarboy is also the only artiste featured on Kiss Daniel’s ‘New Era’ album which was released in May 2016.
Kiss Daniel walked away with three awards at the 2016 Headies for Best R&B/Pop album, Album of the Year and Hip Hop World Revelation for the New Era album.
Sugarboy (real name is Umoren AKanimoh Felix) is popular for his singles ‘Hola Hola’, ‘Legalize’, and ‘Double’.
8 producers worked on the 22-track ‘Believe’ album, including: Young John, DJ Coublon, BeatBurx, and Killertunz.
Meanwhile, ‘Godwin’ hitmaker, Korede Bello’s debut album is expected to drop on March 11, and Sugarboy is likely to be the second Nigerian musician to drop an album in the first quarter of 2017.
