When Adewale Adegbaiye floated his Kijipa Fashion Label 12 years ago, many people didn’t give him a chance of success. There were those who found the name House of Kijipa funny. But today, this dynamic young man has taken Kijipa couture to the next level. He has stepped up big time and his approval, leather shoes/slippers, belts, etc are stocked by top shops all over the world.
He recently launched his Kiji Boss Collection, which a lot of the big boys are rushing to have. How did Adewale achieve this? “By hardwork” he says. “It hasn’t been easy but I just didn’t give up”.
He started off here at Ifako-Gbagada area in Lagos. It was actually meant to style myself. People saw it and they said they loved it. That was 12 years ago. The rest is history”.
