Lagos events planner, Sikeade, speaks on life @ 50

On Wednesday 24th May 2023, at the RCCG Turning Point Parish at Ojodu, a popular Lagos events planner celebrated her 50th birthday. It was a classy event that she planned herself.

CityPeople got her to explain how she feels at 50. “Thank you so much. At 50, I feel so blessed to have been among the living, I feel so young and most especially I feel so grateful to have been able to see “50”
How did she celebrate it? “Thanks to my siblings and friends who decided to have a Thanksgiving service for me. So I did have a celebration in my church surrounded by my family, friends and church members.”


We got her to tell us about her business. What does she do? “I am into event decorations, event planning and recently I turned one of my hobbies into business (BlingsByIreTunTomiwa) it’s one of my newest babies. Its customized Teeshirts for any occasion and event.
What sort of a person is Sikeade? “Hmmm, Sikeade is a simple and lovable person. Most especially she loves Jesus. She is a lover of Children. A serial entrepreneur and a go-getter.”
How did she get into the events business? “I will say Passion. I didn’t train anywhere, I self-trained myself and my first Wedding decor was in the early 90’s.”
Where was she born? Where did she grow up? “I was born in Lagos State Teaching Hospital,(Luth) We were staying in the Obele-Oniwahala area in Lawanson, Surulere. My father was a civil servant, he was always on the move. I grew up partly in LAGOS STATE, OYO STATE, OGUN STATE, ONDO STATE, and CROSS RIVER STATE.
We got her to tell us about her schooling. “I went to University of Lagos. I majored in Data processing, at the
Lagos state business school where I had 2 certificates courses.”
