Renowned Lagos Journalist, Media Consultant and Publisher of Maestro Media Abiola Aloba who recently lost his septuagenarian mum staged a befitting burial for her last week.
The 2 day funeral service began with a Christian wake keep held at Israel Event Center, Plot 35, Ojodu Abiodun road at Ishaga. The church service took place at the Christ The Light Church, Alausa, Ikeja. The remains of Deaconess Jemima Adetoun Lydia Aloba (nee) Fetuga was committed to mother earth at the Atan Cemetery, Unilag road, Yaba Lagos. She died at the age of 70
Tunji Shoo and the Aluminum Melody System entertained guests with his musical Tungba tunes. The grand reception party was held at Rotary Centre, on Ladoke Akintola Street GRA Ikeja and it had a lot of media personalities, friends well wishers and relations in attendance. Mama’s only son Abiola Aloba said she was full of life while she was alive. He posited that Mama lived a life worthy of emulation.” She was a highly spirit-filled and humble person. She was a Deaconess at the Ark of God Jesus Ministries Opebi, Lagos”, he said.
Until her death Mama was a contractor with Nigeria Ports Authority. She was involved trading and selling of goods and food items. She belonged to the Fetuga royal family in Ijebu Ode
Mama died after a brief illness. She is survived by 2 children: Oluwatosin Akinwunmi and Abiola Aloba.
