Kosofe Local Government Education Authority has joined the conglomerate of bodies acknowledging the good work of the lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The Association at their Community Education Development Forum held over the weekend awarded deserving individuals who had contributed tremendously to the development of Education in the District.
Among distinguished personalities so recognised was the Chairman House Committee on Central Business District, Hon Femi Saheed who had used his few Months in office to record landmark achievements in the Education sector.
The lawmaker upon assumption into office launched “Sit and Write the Future” programme where numerous writing furnitures were donated to public schools in his constituency.
Not long after that, best students in all public schools were awarded with bursary funds and two mass transit buses were launched at his first anniversary to support free rides for school children to and fro their schools.
It could be recalled that several other bodies like National Union of Teachers, Lagos State Parents Forum, Timeline Magazine and several others had recognised the Honourable for his commitment to progress and development recently.
Presenting the meritorious award of “Most Supportive Lawmaker to Education Development” to Hon Femi Saheed was the Chairman LASUBEB, Hon Wahab Alawiye-King and flanked by HRM Oba Monsuru Oladega, the Olu of Agboyi Kingdom.
Hon Femi Saheed while receiving the award said “I am delighted with this great recognition. It is indeed a motivation to do more and a testament to the acceptability of our people to our developental plans and agenda.
I thank my leaders and good people of Kosofe Constituency 2 for this golden opportunity to serve. I assure you of my continued hard work and impactful representation” the lawmaker submitted.
