Ten persons (10) including a baby were evacuated from the scene to a nearby hospital. The overturned truck was recovered with the Agency’s Crane but could not be evacuated from the carriageway by the Agency’s super metro because the team was attacked by miscreants. The team has been forced to suspend the Recovery operation for safety reasons.
It is of note that this attack is part of a very worrisome trend of first responders being attacked in the course of their duties.
