WHAT I WILL MISS ABOUT MY MUM

If I should talk about my late mother Adunola Muse I will go on and on. I would thank almighty God for the 69 years she lived on earth. Mummy if heaven had a rose, I will ask God to give you one. You were an amazing mother. You never stopped loving me or caring for me. It is so hard to fight the thought of not ever going to see your beautiful face again. Your death has taught me that no one should ever take anyone for granted. My consolation was that you called me a day before you passed away. Your sweet voice has been a remembrance of a memory that will never leave. Iyami if I say your death did not shock me then I would have been living in denial. My heart was broken since you passed away but God is my refuge, only time will heal the pain. I pray that you rest in the blossom of God. May God accept your gentle soul and pardon all your shortcomings.

I will always love you mother. Sun re o Grace Adunola Muse you are forever in my heart.

ABOUT The late Mrs Adunola Muse (nee Osiyemi)

“When a woman dies, it has not happened because God did not like her, It has happened because the Lord Jesus Christ once more, appeared under the guise of pain, identified with a woman numb from cold, a lonely human being and indeed a lost child in search of a true home” – Mother Theresa, The Saint of the Gutter.

The sudden transition to glory of my beloved friend and sister from another mother came to me like a rude shock: It immediately filtered to the air and spread wild like the harmattan haze to my chagrin and bewilderment. What an unpleasant news that announced the passage of a woman of courage and good character with lovely and amiable disposition.

The sudden death of Sisi Adun or our senior citizen as I fondly called her, is painful because it diminishes my person and put a vacuum in our relationship of over 30 years which suddenly came to an abrupt end without a farewell.

We had a long chat a night before and only to hear about her passage in the morning, o my God, what an incomprehensible death without premonition but to God be the glory as His will is supreme.

As Sisi Adun took her last bow to stay with the saint Triumphant, may the Lord give us all the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss of this fine woman of honour and excellence.

Sleep on peacefully my gistmate, confidant and friend in whom I’m well pleased to be associated with, Adieu…

“Death be not proud though some have called thee mighty and dreadful for thou art not so. For those whom thou thinketh thou overthrown, die not, cos their enduring legacy outlive them, poor death.” – John Domen Divine Poem.

TRIBUTE TO MY FRIEND AND SISTER

I am writing this on autopilot because I am still in shock. I never expected that we would be parted so soon! I met Mrs Muse in 1983 when I joined ICON LTD (MERCHANT BANKERS). We hit it off soon thereafter and became very close. She had so many wonderful qualities that would endear her to anyone who wanted a good friend. She was honest, good company, forthright, fair-minded, loyal and frank. She had a philosophical outlook on life and she always managed to see things from a different perspective in situations where you just expected her to go along with your opinion. I found this very inspiring. She always had a word of wisdom and encouragement for every situation. She was a very supportive friend, her yes was yes and her no was no. She will be sorely missed. As we celebrate her life, we pray that God will strengthen and console her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings and extended family during this difficult time.

I t is well with your soul because I know you are with our Lord Jesus Christ. Good night, my friend and sister. Knowing you was indeed a privilege.
