The remains of Madam Esther Ebun Sule Eke was laid to rest two weeks ago in Lagos. It all started on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018, with a Service of Songs held at 14, Ogunjimi Street, Agege, Lagos. On the next day, May 4th, 2018, a funeral service was held at Diocese of Lagos West Anglican Communion on Oba Akinjobi Road, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, while Interment followed at 14, Ogunjimi Street, Agege on May 5th, 2018 and rounded off with a reception held at Times Square Event Centre, 27 Ajao Road, Off Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja. AT THE SERVICE OF SONGS & CHURCH SERVICE
The service of songs was held in honour of Mama Esther Olufunke Ebun on Thursday, 3rd May, 2018, at her residence, 14 Ogunjinmi Street, Agege, Lagos state.The officiating minister and canon residentiary of Diocese of Lagos West, Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral GRA Ikeja, Venerable Festus Olowosile, opened the Service of songs with prayers, after which Mama’s favourite hymn was rendered by her children ,family members and guests.
The venerable Festus Olowosile prayed for the soul of the departed and advised everyone present to live a life worthy of emulation. He said that mama lived a good christian life and didn’t joke with the works of God. Family members, neighbours and a few of Mama’s children all came out to pay tributes to her.
A Church service was held for her on Friday, 4th, May, at mama’s worship center, Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral , (AVMC) GRA, Ikeja Lagos. Officiating Minister, The Venerable Goke Agara, prayed for Mama’s soull and urged her children to live in unity, saying they should uphold the beautiful legacies left behind by her.He advised them to always do the work of God dilligently, positing that mama wasn’t found wanting in that regard. He urged them to always remember the soul of the departed in prayers and that they shouldn’t forget to pray for Nigeria and her leaders. Interment followed immediately after the church service at Mama’s residence, 14 Ogunjinmi Street Agege, Lagos.Undertakers from Ebony Casket were on ground to lower mama’s remains into the grave afterwhich dust to dust session by mama’s children took place. A short reception party was organised outside Mama’s residence. Lagos-based musical crew, Alaba Ultimate and his musical band were on ground and they thrilled guests with melodious tunes all through the duration of the party.
MEET THEÂ OMO-OLOKUS
The late Mrs. Esther Olufunke Ebun lived a fruitful, God-fearing, and great life. She was blessed and survived by 6 children. The late Bankole Ebun, Mrs. Abiola Ebun Awosusi, Mrs. Oloori Ekundayo Ebun, Omolara Ebun Balogun, Remilekun Silver Ebun, Bukola Ebun. She also has 12 grandchildren, great grandchild, son-in-law, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
OVER 50 US-BASED BIG BOYS & BABESÂ STORM LAGOS
Late Mrs. Ebun Sule Eke is survived by big babes and big boys, 2 of them, Bukky and Oloori Ekundayo, are based in the US and their friends flew down enmass for the burial, as at weekend, City People gathered that many of them have arrived and were fully prepared for the grand event.
ABOUT THE COLOUR OF THE DAY
The colour of the day was Blue apart from the Ankara that was chosen for the family members and friends, there were another shades of blue that were probably chosen for friends from outside the country. The fabric is beautiful, and the beauty of it was that the selected few who wore it did justice to it, as it was embroided with different touch of expensive accessories.
HALL WELLÂ DECORATED
The hall was well and beautifully decorated with a touch of class, as the colour of the day was blue, the hall was decorated with a touch of blue and white with different roses and light that made the place looked more classy. It was decorated by KPC Event.
ADEWALE AYUBA ON BANDSTAND
Bonsue Fuji exponent, Adewale Ayuba, popularly known as Mr. Johnson was the musician of the day. Adewale Ayuba, who has revolutionised Fuji music in Nigeria with his hi-tech instrumentation and distinct voice sent the setting into revelry with his very distinctive performance that buoyed the sprit of everybody at the event.
BABA TEE COMPERES, AS HE STARTSÂ WITH RAP
Nigerian comic Yoruba actor and comedian, Tayo Babatunde Bernard, popularly known as Baba Tee was the host and master of ceremony, who introduced the guests one of after the other and spiced up the event with different comedies, Baba Tee started with rapping to the music being played by DJ Ms to welcome the guests. It was fun as he also involved some of the guests to rap alongside with him.
OLOORI EKUNDAYO DAZZLES
One of the US-based kids of the late Mrs. Ebun Sule Eke is Oloori Ekundayo Ebun, whose entrance into the hall actually threw the hall into tumult, as she became a cynosure at the event. The pink Aso-Ebi she wore with her siblings and friends was well tailored with an expensive jewellery to match. She was looking so radiant and very beautiful.
ARRIVALÂ OF THE ROYALÂ FATHER OF THE DAY
The arrival of Omo Oba Francis Olushola Alao (Olugbon of Orile-Igbon), who was the royal father of the day, was a moment to behold as he stormed in with his pretty wife, Oloori Olushola Adedoyin Alao, in a glamorous way, Oloori was looking beautiful.
SPECIALÂ PERFORMANCE
Cultural dance performance was done by Onijo Jesu Cultural Dance from Akure humbly led by Mrs. Folorunsho Busola Mary to honour the late Mrs. Ebun Sule and to entertain the guests in Ondo dialect.

Madam Esther Olufunke Sule Eke’s biography was read by Mary Ebun, who is the daughter of the late Bankole Ebun, the first/late son of the family as gathered by City People.
MC OLUOMOÂ GRACES THE EVENT
The popular National Union of Road Transport Workers’ Leader, MC, as he is fondly called, made it to the event with his entourage, MC, who is popular expecially in the Transport sector because of his generousity and his kind gestures towards people around him, as he is known as a philanthropist and that has made him popular in Lagos. He came into the event with Kokozaria, his second in command, and also a NURTW big wig.
IS RONKEÂ OSHODI OKEÂ An OMO-OLOKUS?
Actress, Ronke Ojo, popularly known as Ronke Oshodi Oke was at the event. Aside from the fact that she was invited by the MC Baba Tee to spice up the event, Ronke was also seen moving up and down attending to people, serving some of the guests around her, and one could perceiverelationship between her and the decease’s children. If one does not know them, you would have assumed Ronke was one of them. The beautiful actress, musician, director and producer was happy althrough the event.
WHO IS AN ACTOR AMONG THE OMO-OLOKUS?
The question on the day was, who is a Nollywood actor among the decease’s children, as the whole place was thronged with celebrities in Nollywood, like Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje), Omogoriola Hassan, Kunle Afolayan, Ronke Ojo, Ebun Oloyede and many more.
BANKOLEÂ REMEMBERED
The late and the first son of the family was remembered with a minute silence as they were about to start dancing.
