The premises of White Stone Event Centre, on Billings Way, Oregun in Lagos was filled to the brim on Sunday, 24th July, 2022, with a lot of exotic cars of guests who came to celebrate with Matured Likeminds Ladies, a group of about 55 beautiful ladies, who are all accomplished. The classy party had in attendance about 2,000 gorgeously dressed ladies, drawn from both Mainland and the Island axis in Lagos.
Why the event attracted so many women was because each of the 55 ladies invited their friends, many of whom are also big society women in their own right. And each member had tables alloted to them.
The event attracted the attendance of many traditional rulers, Male & Female celebrities and big time business people. The Alara of Ilara, Oba Ogunsanwo was there. So, also HRH Oba Kazeem Adesina, the Osobia of Makun Omi in Ogun State who represented the Ooni of Ife, and HRM Oba Adedini, the Asoya of Ife-Isoye, Ile-Ife, among other Obas.
Many society women stormed the party also. Chief Mrs. Sade Adesoye stood out. So also Olori Risikat Ayoka Adams, the pretty wife Oba Lateef Atanda Adams, the Onikate of Ikateland. Iyalaje Oodua Toyin Kolade was also there. Let us quickly tell you that Chief Mrs. Afolasade Adunni Risikat Adesoye is the Matron of the Group and she really played that role. She was on her feet althrough the event. She is the Yeye Otunba Gbaderogun of Ijebuland.
The Royal Mothers of the day were Queen Risikat Ayoka Adams & Queen Sekinat Aramide Elegushi. Chief Mrs. Sade Adesoye did a lot for the group, as she invited about 300 guests all dressed in the same Gele & Cap, and the women put on a similar fabric. She also invited members of Egbe Bobagunte (Okunrin) Akile Ijebu. Her husband is a member.
Music was by K1 who kept all the ladies on their feet, dancing for 7 hours. He was steaming hot on that day, as he went back memory lane, to come up with so many of his danceable tunes. He was dressed in all white, from his agbada to his shoes and wore silvery accessories from his ring and bracelet. When he was about to perform, he turned his Agbada into Iro and gave them the Maiyegun of Yorubaland look. It made him look traditional.
It was Aso Ebi galore, as many of the women turned up in different Aso Ebi. Members also had their own unique Aso Ebi or is it Aso Ijo, which they danced with. Catering was superb. The Menu was rich. About 20 different high profile Caterers took charge, with all sorts of sumptuous delicacies from Continental dishes to local delicacies. Over 10 Caterers who specialise in Small Chops, fish and all sorts were visible.
As for drinks, it flowed like water. There was enough to drink. It was actually a 2-in-1 party. It was the 1st year anniversary & Fund Raising of N500 million for the construction of an Event Hall. All the Executive Members were on their feet throughout. Other members supported the Exco members. The exco-members are 17 in number, made up of the following beautiful ladies:
