AHMED ADENIYI OJIKUTU (President)
Ahmed Adeniyi Ojikutu is from the Ojikutu Royal Dynasty of Lagos. He is the Managing Director/CEO of Pacific Technologies Ltd and a Grade ‘A’ contractor registered with the Lagos and Federal governments. His business interest spans ICT, Agro-Allied and other sectors – and his firm boasts of almost 100 employees.
Mr. Ojikutu had his OND in Business Studies from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro and his First Degree in Actuary Science and Insurance in 2002 from the University of Lagos. His Second Degree is in Business Management from Lagos State University. He is a member of the Institute of Business Strategy, Institute of Conflict Management and Peaceful Resolution and also has a Certificate in Journalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.
After his NYSC programme, he became an apprentice in computer and allied products trades and earned more a million naira in bonuses and rewards within a year in the computer village.
Ojikutu is the Vice-President of Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria, Secretary of Lagos for Us (NGO) and Coordinator for Better Nigeria for the Future. He is also the Director of Business Development and Strategy for Rotary Club of Ikeja and Founder of Ademola Ojikutu Foundation (for educational based scholarship).
BONIFACE S. ANIA (Vice President)
Boniface Ania is a widely travelled and well versed business tycoon. He had visited more than 20 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, mostly for IT businesses and technicalities. Prior to establishing his first electro-magnetic business firm in Ghana and spreading his branches to Nigeria in 1989 and 1992 respectively, he had worked as GM of Meganet Communications Ltd and DAZ Technologies Ltd. He also worked with Resan Investment Company Ltd, expert in haulage and quarry under Benue Cement Company Ltd and he was the Chairman of Legal Committee of Nigerian Youth Association, Ghana. He has also been the Chairman of Nigerian Youths Association in Ghana (that has earned direct recognition of Nigerian embassy) in the last four years.
By 1995, Mr. Ania had his solid interest in the IT world, attended training in Microsoft Engineering Techniques before establishing Prime Star Perfect Network Ltd, dealing in sales and distribution of RAMS (hard disk) and complete systems. This HP-friendly partner is a confirmed ICT Engineer and a reliable hand when it comes to computer repairs and consultancy. He has trained more than 50 notable technicians who are making marks in different organisations in the Nigerian IT world.
Mr. Ania, who is currently running a part-time programme in Business Administration at the University of Lagos, is a passionate Peace Ambassador and Mediator, building a bridge that connects ethnic groups in the market and establishing a common ground for profitability. This sport lover is the Vice President of Soul Circle Diamond Friends Club of Nigeria and Chairman, Environmental Joint Committee. He enjoys time-out with his wife and son.
JERRY ONYEMAECHI MBA (Secretary General)
Jerry Mba (Mr.) is an accomplished businessman and astute Human Resources Practitioner. He is the MD/CEO of Hosanna Technologies Ltd (a company that specialises in the sales of computers, networking, telecommunication and security devices) and also the Principal Partner, Goldmine Consulting (a Finance and Management consultancy firm).
He became a stakeholder at the computer village in 2002 after serving as a General Manager of an IT firm in Lagos. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc.) in Political Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), a Masters Degree (MSc.) in Sociology, and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Calabar. Mr Mba has more than 25 years of professional experience in IT world and business administration.
As an astute administrator and IT businessman, he envisioned a foreseeable future where technology would become more micro than it is now and a world where more than 80 percent of the population would be ICT literate and compliant and the entire world system would be ICT driven.
Mr. Mba is a tested and trusted leader; he has won numerous awards both local and international such as Excellent Leadership Awards from Inspiration International, USA, Outstanding Leadership Award from Progressive Friends Foundation, PFF Nigeria, and Outstanding NYSC Corper award of the Year 1993 in Osun State. He is the Executive Chairman of Computer Dealers Association (POWA plaza), Vice Chairman – Uturu Development Association (Lagos Branch) and National Financial Secretary of the same association, and he is a member of the Institutional Development Association for CIPM, Lagos.
SHEDRACK EGBULE (Assistant Secretary General)
Engr. Shedrack Egbule is a business leader, IT engineer and trainer, who enjoys reading books and magazines on Information and Communication Technology and other book that can make an impact. His company, Paragons Technology Ltd, deals in the sales and repairs of computers, telecommunications, networking and services.
Mr. Egbule holds an HND certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Yaba College of Technology and other IT certifications such as A+, MCSC, CISCO and he is also an accredited HP platform specialist and HP Sales Certified. He currently runs an MBA program at Lagos Business School. Engineer Shedrack envisions computer village as a No.1 IT market in Africa (arguing that Nigeria can leverage on her population size) and hopes that major OEMs will endorse CAPDAN and provide direct training for the market engineers.
OLUTUNJI ADEBIYI ADEOYE (Social Welfare Officer)
Mr. Olutunji Adebiyi Adeoye holds double qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Marketing at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa and Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro respectively. He is also an associate member of Nigerian Institute of Marketing and certification of Microsoft (Desktop Publishing) and Computer Engineering.
His company, TunTek Computer Network, specialises in computer repairs and maintenances and also deals in sales of computers and phones (plus accessories). He has attended a one-year expertise course on Technology Innovation in South Africa and also did a certificate course in Information Technology (with a special application to manufacturing firms)
Apart from IT-based businesses and expertise, Mr. Olutunji Adeoye is also a motivational speaker and Youth Pastor at the Foursquare Gospel Church. He teaches Business Techniques and Models in churches and secondary schools across Lagos.
He also nurses a special vision in which CAPDAN would form a mega-company, where small-scale facility providers can help broaden Nigerian IT market. He also envisions a secured future for stakeholders through a Life Insurance policy and a health care system that can benefit Computer Village members and families.
A family man, Adeoye is a film buff addict. He loves reading books on autobiographies and spiritual uplifting, He is known to regularly foster unity among different ethnic groups in the Computer Village as he also motivates youngsters to maximise their God-given potentials.
MURITALA OLABAMIJI ADEYEMI (Organising Secretary)
Engr. Muritala Olabamiji Adeyemi had developed a passion for Electronics since childhood. His uncle who raised him was a Radio Technician and from him, he learnt the rudiments of maintenance and repair of electrical gadgets.
After his HND programme in Computer Engineering at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, he became a worker/lecturer at Filade Computer Engineering School at Mokola, Ibadan. While working in that organisation, he met a South African GSM Engineer, who offered to train him and establish a training school with him. The idea paid off – and within two years, the school had trained more than 200 students, who today are experts in telephone repairs in Ibadan, Oyo State.
While in Ibadan, his friends, who had family members abroad suggested that their relations abroad might bring phones for repair or resale – and he used to help them. After a while, he relocated to Lagos, worked for a man at computer village, who exploited his innocence to enrich himself – but as God would have it, Muritala discovered his niche and started Excel Communications in 2007. The firm soon became a household name in computer and telephone repairs.
To further streamline, he registered another business firm, iMate Communications, that sells and services only Apple phones. Although, he lamented scarcity of quality spare parts and accessories, but he expressed belief that if manufacturers could have a partnership with CAPDAN, Nigeria can assemble her own phone gadgets that can beat any rivalry in the world.
CHUKWUDI ECHEZONA OKOYE (Financial Secretary)
A graduate of Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Enugu State University of Technology and member, Nigeria Society of Engineers, Engr. Chukwudi Okoye, is happily married with two kids. He has been a stakeholder in the market since 2004.
The Chairman/CEO of Pyramid Multi Concepts Technologies Ltd (with three other branches in computer village), Engr. Okoye, is a football lover. He also plays scrabbles and reads newspapers and magazines. As the Financial Secretary of CAPDAN, he wishes to run a transparent pattern of reporting financial status of the organisation whereby the stakeholders can have access to accounting records. He also intends to increase the IGR and grants of the union, and also wants a solid collaboration of OEMs with CAPDAN.
Engr. Okoye is a Peace Ambassador of the United Nations (UN) and a preferred HP-Partner, one of the leading IT manufacturing companies in the world. He is also the vice-president of Unique Brothers Keepers Club (duly registered as a care giver by CAC).
ONAJOBI MUTIU OLAYIWOLA (Asst. Fin. Secretary)
The father of three, Mr. Onajobi Mutiu did his OND and HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro and at The Polytechnic, Ibadan respectively. He also possesses a PGD certificate in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
Mr. Onajobi ventured into computer village out of frustration and his wife’s advice. He had worked in companies where he did all the jobs, made all the monies, collected all the fat cheques and yet was owed several months salaries.
After establishing his base in the market, he registered Koffy Technology & Systems that deals in the sales and repairs of laptops and printers. The company also do networking and training. Mr. Onajobi is an ardent businessman with further investments in properties. He enjoys sports of any sort and foresees a CAPDAN of national body with international recognition.
JEJE JOHNSON OLUSEGUN (Treasurer)
Mr. Jeje Johnson Olusegun is a BSc holder in Demography and Social Statistics from Obafemi Awolowo University and also possesses a professional degree in Computer Engineering.
Jeje, who wants the Computer Village to be remodelled after what is obtainable in Dubai (UAE) and South Africa, sits at the helm-of-affairs of One-World Technologies Ltd (that majors in the sales of APPLE products).
Although, he sees a better improvement in the village if compared to what was obtainable in 1997 when he started out as an engineer in the village but still foresees a CAPDAN that becomes a West-African legacy and a computer village where businesses could be willed to great-grand-children. He enjoys watching soccer and animal documentary. Mr. Jeje’s business interests span farming and film-editing.
BUKOLA LADEGA-ATUNRASE (Auditor)
Very few are women who can thumb their chests, and courageously overcome challenges where most men cower, but Mrs. Bukola Ladega-Atunrase is one of those few. Plying her trade among men and gallantly rubbing shoulders with them in the world considered to be masculine, Bukola (aka Iya’laje) dabbled into the computer village as a shop attendant after her secondary school certificate.
After learning the principles of making money, she went to the higher institution, Lagos State Polytechnic, where she did her OND/HND in Accountancy, graduating with Upper Credit. While in school, she was spreading her business tentacles among her friends and mates – and after her NYSC service year at LSDPC, she started Daryart Ventures, selling phones, laptops and ICT accessories.
This mother of three is currently pursuing her ACA certificate at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She has a special capacity for managing people and fighting for the cheated. She could be called an activist. The Queen of the Park, Mrs. Bukola Ladega-Atunrase, envisions a computer village where international brands have their factories and assembly plants.
ADEMOLA DAUD SOLAGBADE OLAIFA (Public Relations Officer)
Mr. Ademola Olaifa is saddled with the responsibility of disseminating information and publicity within and outside computer village. He was one of the first set of ICT technique trainers and school operators in the village – having established DSA Computers and Secretarial School in 1994.
As a professional teacher, Mr. Olaifa attended Oyo State College of Education, did a BSc programme in Mathematics/Computer Science, a PGD in Computer Science and a Certificate course in Data Processing and System Analysis – all at UNILAG.
As a man of immense experience, Mr. Ademola Olaifa, prior to his starting a business venture of the Computer Village, retired as a classroom teacher in 1991 after six years of cognate experience, and was JAMB Principal Programmer between 1992 and 1997.
Mr. Olaifa views Computer Village (ICT market) as comprising two sets of people, the Professionals (technicians) and the traders. He also envisions a market where both groups can leverage on e-Commerce to redirect, redefine and re-adapt their businesses for profitability. Mr. Ademola Olaifa is married with children. He enjoys analysing politics and watching documentaries and sports.
ENGR. IBADIN PRESLEY (Assistant PRO)
In 2002, this engineer was divinely inspired to come to Computer Village for business sight-seeing and after a satisfactory discovery; he enrolled at Unisyx Computer Engineering College, where he learnt the rudiments of computer diagnosis and engineering.
On completion, he started K-CHRONOS Global Technology Enterprises, dealing in sales and repairs of desktop, laptop computers and accessories.
Edo State-born Engineer Ibadin Presley sees technology taking over all the aspects of life in a near future and wants CAPDAN to create a cycle of growth where business development and wealth creation is wired around the stakeholders – and to be a beneficiary, he wants a viable business environment to be created by CAPDAN. Engr. Ibadin also holds a Bsc. in Business Administration from University of Lagos.
OKUWOBI KUNLE MOSHOOD (Chief Whip)
Mr. Okuwobi Kunle Moshood possesses OND from Ogun State Polytechnic and HND from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. He started Sure Network Ltd. (dealing in the sales of computers and printers) in partnership with his late brother in 1997 during his Industrial Training programme. The business was started on the street with nothing, but determination.
In 2001, after his NYSC service year, he formed a partnership known as Skill Solutions Ltd. with his friend, Olaseni Ajibola – and the company is recognised for bulk sales and retail of computers, printers and ICT accessories.
Father of three beautiful children, Okuwobi Kunle, has a slogan he terms, focus … focus … and more focus – and that has kept him in business to date. He loves watching and playing football.
Mr. Okuwobi has always been a relevant force in the computer village, having worked with other executive members for 11 years before contesting and becoming the Chief Whip in the council. He used to be a member of taskforce and his struggle has always being for the security of the Market facilities and wares. He has been working tirelessly to establish a new phase for CAPDAN and envisions a new level for Computer Village. He foresees the village being the number one ICT market in Africa.
JUDE EZIMOHA (Assistant Chief Whip)
Mr. Jude Ezimoha started out as a Stationary dealer in 1995 and after undergoing basic training in Trade and Vocation, he delved into computer sales in 2001 by establishing Daddy Monso Technology, dealing in the wholesale and retailing of various inks, cartridges and toners. He once underwent a professional technical training on printer diagnosis at STATIC (Japan) company – and he can adequately fix printer problems.
Mr. Jude Ezimoha is a skilful Martial Artist and a black-belt holder in kick-boxing and Kung-fu. In 1997 at the National Stadium, Surulere, he emerged the State Champion at the Lagos State Kung fu Championship (Tinubu Cup).
He envisions that the Computer Village ICT market would be calmer, peaceful, and safe for businesses and hopes that the village would be the number one ICT hub in Africa, in the class of American Silicon Valley. This sportsman and sport-lover is married with four kids.
AUGUSTINE KENNY MAYOR (ex-officio)
Mr. Augustine Kenny Mayor is the MD/CEO of Mayor Tron Global Communications Ltd. The company that deals with the sales of GSM phones, accessories and computer allied products. He studied Pure Management at University of Port-Harcourt.
This talented singer-cum-hair-stylist enjoys travelling as a hobby; his business interest spans beverages, confectionaries, disinfectants, soaps and detergents manufacturing – and all these are produced in his other companies.
This man that started his fleet of businesses with just N20,000, which he garnered through persistent savings and loan from a micro-finance bank is of the opinion that standard ICT market should be built upon CAPDAN as a college of idea, that is better organised to meet the ICT challenges of the future.
As a globe-trotter, Mr. Augustine Kenny Mayor, has travelled to Athens in Greece, China and other African countries for business purposes and pleasure.
SUNDAY NSUNDE (ex-officio)
Mr. Sunday Nsunde is the CEO of Corperate Computers and Accessories Enterprises; selling phones and computer accessories. He had a formal training in air ticketing/travelling and as an expert, worked in a travelling agency for several years before venturing into computer business. His sojourn into IT world and computer village was like a miracle; he went to repair his faulty phone when he met his sister, who encouraged him to venture into the business. Initially, he thought of getting a space and attendant, but his ‘YES’ brought him this far. Sunday Nsunde is married with three beautiful children.
ADENUGA ADEDAYO SAMUEL (ex-officio)
The Visionary, Mr. Adenuga Adedayo Samuel, could see water where many see rock. His ability to see into the future was the reason he left his former place of employment as his several ideas were turned into trash. His trashed ideas, while repairing note-counting machines, eventually became a cash-cow in MACNUGA NIGERIA LIMITED, the company that sells computers, phones and currency counting machines (which the firm also repairs). Mr. Adenuga is a Mechanical Engineer and businessman, dealing with several banks in the country.
IKANI TONY ATTA (ex-officio)
Ikani Tony Atta is a graduate of Business Administration, Yaba College of Technology. He enjoys playing Table Tennis and watching football. Tony was born and bred at Pepple Street, Ikeja where the Afro-beat Legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, had his music shrine in the 80’s – 90’s. His drive to excel in life drew him into computer business at a time when the village just started; using the original son-of-the-soil strategy, he would approach the shop owners (when most of his mates were begging for handouts) for products and prices, got customers and sold at profits.
His zeal took him to a big brother, who developed an interest in young Tony and decided to run a partnership with him. At a time when most businesses answers funkified, technological-based and foreign names, Tony believed most Lagos customers are Yorubas and would need a personality they could relate with and trust – and so called his business, EBUNOLUWA SYSTEM.
The company sells computers to multinational companies and corporate individuals and the MD/CEO, Ikani Tony Atta, is respected as a man of integrity. Village patrons trust his iPhones and Games. This business magnate hopes that CAPDAN would be replicated in all the states of the federation, most especially, Kogi, his state of origin.
OLANREWAJU ABDULRAZAQ SAIDI (ex-officio)
Mr. Olanrewaju AbdulRasaq Saidi is an ICT consultant per excellence. He holds a BSc in Sociology from Lagos State University and MSc in Geographical Information System from University of Ibadan. He also possesses a professional proficiency certificates in CISCO and Project Management and Practices (PMP).
Prior to establishing LARBIS NIGERIA LTD in 2003, dealing in the sales of ICT products and security gadgets (CCTV) and services, Mr. Olanrewaju AbdulRazaq Saidi was a consultant in the ICT department of Lordmart Ltd. A man of proven integrity and skills, Olanrewaju is happily married with children. His hobbies include travelling and networking with people of like minds.
EBERE OKECHUKWU (ex-officio)
A Bsc (Statistics/Economics) holder from University of Nigeria Nsuka and MSc (Economics) from University of Lagos, Mr. Ebere Okechukwu, is the Managing Director of PLETHORA INTERNATIONAL LTD; a company that majorly supplies desktops and laptops.
Having worked as an Accountant for several A+ rated companies in Lagos, Mr. Ebere Okechukwu who is also a member of Nigeria Economists Society, envisions a computer village where there is sanity, secured transactions and calm dealings.
The man who enjoys travelling and playing indoor games, most especially table-tennis, is known to be one of the traders in the village who sells first class and highly guaranteed products that consumers can rely upon. He doesn’t compromise on quality. Without blaming the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) for allowing counterfeit products into the country, he believed that CAPDAN as an organisation, could still censor and sanction the quality of the products being sold within the confines of the village.
NICODEMUS NNOLUGA OKEKEJIAKAH (ex-officio)
A graduate Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Management Technology, Enugu, Engr. Nicodemus Nnoluga Okekejiakah, popularly referred to as Nickson Luga hails from Anambra State. He is the Director and Owner of a multi-purpose IT store, Luga Nickson Telecoms and Computers Limited. The store sells various ICT products such as GSM phones, computers and photocopiers (plus various accessories).
Nicodemus Okekejiakah is one of the very few pioneers of computer village. He started his business in 1992 with office stationery – and he has witnessed the transformation of the location into a mega IT-market. He is the Secretary of Association of Plaza Heads and an electoral committee member who conducted the election that saw the recent executive board into office.
Happily married with six kids (2 boys, 4 girls), Nickson Luga plays and watches football. He wishes that the Lagos State government will speed-up the relocation of computer village to a permanent site. He foresees a Computer Village Residential Estate and an arrangement whereby OEMs will train Nigerian experts, so that various ICT products could be locally manufactured and assembled in Nigeria.
