Her role involves hands-on management with events and developing Integrity’s business portfolio. Whether she is prospecting new clients, logistics or handling speaker management, Millicent works systematically and efficiently to get the job done.
Milicent has an extensive background in event management and brand management working with multi-national clients.
A graduate of Mass Communication from Imo State University, Millicent has a wide and varied knowledge in this area and brings a wealth of skills to her role as Liaison Coordinator at Instant Pick Up, Nigeria’s first Online Laundry Service.
City People caught up with this unbelievably charming entrepreneur and got her to speak on her new brand, Divas Ushers.
Speaking on what inspires her interest in the ushering business, Millicent said, for years, I’ve had several job experiences. I wanted to do a business of my own and at the same time impact others who are willing and able to work. I’ve also been passionate about events and I love sampling collections of colours. I love decorations and developed so much interest in empowering myself vocationally in that capacity.
So I decided to go into the business; got my lawyer; got my business registered with the CAC and here we are today. I also employ the service of young girls who are also fit for the job. We do it for the passion of the job though’, she said.
Divas ushers are not only about ushering. We are also into Divas Academy where we train our students on makeup, event management, catering and ushering. All our ushers usually go through the academy to get required training for the job before we set them on the bigger stage. We prepare them for A-list events and parties and ensure they are able to represent our brand duly.
