It is no longer news that Wedding bells are on the horizon for Tosin Saraki, the eldest daughter of The Senate President Bukola Saraki and his amiable wife, Mrs Toyin Saraki. The power couple are set to give their eldest daughter, Tosin, 25, out in marriage in the next few months precisely December. The good news was recently announced by the bride to be’s mum Mrs Saraki, the founder of Wellbeing Africa Foundation, on her social media page.
The instagram post reads:” We are delighted by the engagement and the upcoming nuptial ceremonies of our eldest daughter and her fiancé The families, while deeply appreciative of the numerous congratulatory wishes and prayers we have received from family members, friends, associates and well-wishers will not be releasing any further details at this time, in respect of the couple-to-be’s privacy. With every blessing as you keep the couple in your prayers. Amen.
However, not many are aware of the fact that belle of the day is beauty with brains.The chocolate skinned pretty Tosin is a very hard working and intelligent young girl with a rich educational pedigree. Her professional profile reveals that she is a lawyer and a brand builder.
She attended London School of Economics and Political Science, U. of London where she bagged a BA in Law and Anthropology, upon her graduation in 2013; she went to Nigerian Law School and obtained her Barrister at Law (BL) Field Of Study Law in 2014.
She furthered her studies and bagged an LL.M in International Legal Practice. She currently works as a brand builder with Unilever, where she has accrued many laudable achievements. She has Led multi – agency briefings and helped deploy an integrated campaign with consistency across all touch points ( Digital, Print, PR, Media, Activation), Worked closely with agency to secure and leverage high- level partnerships for Pepsodent.
Worked with legal department to develop and sign off agreements with the Nigerian Dental Association and Federal Ministry of Health , Assisted coordination and supervised Pepsodent activities surrounding World Oral Health Day 2016 (PR Launch, Community Outreach programmes and Internal Unilever Activation) Supervise and support Pepsodent Behavioural -Change Schools Programme 2016 Activation pan – Nigeria, reaching 1.6 million children to date on the importance of proper Oral Hygiene (planning, tracking and reporting) among several others.
Before she assumed her position with Unilever barely a year ago, she had a brief stint with other multi nationals where she worked as intern. She worked as an intern with JOFFE & ASSOCIES, in Paris, France where she successfully completed a Legal Research in Comparative Law and also assisted in translation of documents (French to English).
She also worked as an intern at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, London, United Kingdom, Cherie Blair Foundation for Women London, United Kingdom, Macquarie Group London, 3 Hare Court Barristers Chambers London, United Kingdom and Federal Ministry of Justice, Lagos, Nigeria. Tosin is also a motivational speaker who has done public speaking in different fora. She participated in speaking engagement for the White Ribbon Alliance International Women’s Day event where she attended as WBFA representative. Tosin has also bagged an honorary award for her excellence and hard work; she received the Unilever Smile Africa – Award of Excellence for exceptional World Oral Health Day 2016 execution and outstanding commitment to Unilever’s Oral Health Social Mission.
