One of the beautiful Queens of Ooni of Ife is Queen Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda. She is the 2nd Oloori Ooni married in succession.
Only few know her because her wedding rites with the Ooni was very private. That is the reason why many people don’t know her. She did not have an elaborate engagement like the other queens. Yes, her wedding ceremony to Ooni was not very big like the others. We gathered she decided to make the engagement very low key.
Infact so important was her engagement as well that it took place on same day with Queen Mariam Anako Ogunwusi’s wedding engagement who is the first wife. She is another pretty and well trained lady who captured the heart of Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. Queen Opeoluwa has been an item with Ooni of Ife for many years.
Olori (Dr.) Opeoluwa Elizabeth Ogunwusi’s own ceremony followed in quick succession to that of Olori Mariam, as her own wedding rites were performed just hours after Olori Mariam’s own. For the fair complexioned Scotland returnee, hers took place in Lagos at her parents Magodo residence.
She is a successful IT executive based in Glasgow, Scotland. On her wedding day, as the palace was preparing for Queen Mariam’s engagement, simultaneously she was also preparing to meet the emissaries sent from Ooni.
Infact the gifts for the bride had already gone ahead to the home of the bride’s parents before Ooni’s father and other entourage left for Queen Opeoluwa’s house. The king’s entourage left VGC on the Island, base of Queen Mariam enroute Magodo on the mainland for Queen Opeoluwa same day.
We can tell you emphatically that the entourage from the palace representing the monarch, only went to the Magodo home of the Akimudas, who are said to be strict Christians who actually attend the Mountain of Fire Ministries. Hers was a more subdued ceremony before she would later go to the palace to be received by her majesty, Olori Mariam Ogunwusi.
Immediately after Olori Mariam’s wedding rites were concluded, spanning just a few hours apart was the marriage of ‘Olori Dr. Elizabeth Opeoluwa Ogunwusi nee Akinmuda’, who is a good friend of the former Minister for Aviation, ‘Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’ who incidentally is also from Ife. Olori Opeoluwa is based in Scotland in the UK and is said to be a successful business person in the IT world. Her parents are said to be staunch christians of the ‘Mountain of Fire & Miracle ministries’. Her own ceremony was done at her parents home in Magodo, Lagos. With the monarch represented by his dad and palace emissaries at the event. Queen Opeoluwa Akinmuda is a Scotland-based Electronic Data Processor and a native of Ondo in Ondo State. On her wedding day. She wore a beautiful white Aso oke with gold embroidery and paired it with a coral mixed with gold jewelry.
