Over the last few months, a new set of celebrity women have been dominating the social scene in Ibadan. They are the set of women who we see at all the big Owambe parties. They are usually gorgeously dressed. They are rich, famous, powerful and a good number of them are drop-dead gorgeous. These are celebrity women who make style statements you can’t stop admiring, anytime you meet them at parties. Some of them complement their husbands, status while some are rocking things on their own. We have some of them in trading, while some are fabric merchants. Some have businesses that are doing well.
So, they are comfortable in their own skin. They are rich and can afford to look good. One of them is Yetunde Olokuta, alias Ystone Omoge Saidat, the wife of the popular Ibadan business magnate, Demola Olokuta. She’s one of the top society women currently rocking the social scene in Ibadan, but her simplicity is topnotch. If you are looking for a lady with a high sense of fashion, with striking beauty and pose, then look no further, Yetunde Olokuta is your answer. She’s gorgeous and rich. In her case, her husband is a super-rich and she is also a rich woman. She is a businesswoman with a thriving store in Ibadan. And what about the beautiful Alhaja Taofeekat, the Otun Iyalode of Egbaland? She’s undoubtedly one of the super rich society women rocking Ibadan, even though she’s one woman who doesn’t like to be in the news. She owns the popular Palm 77 Hotel in Ibadan. Not only that. She runs Marikina School, a private Creche/Day Centre/School in Ibadan. There is also Ambassador Romoke Ayinde. She’s the owner of Kayron Lee Gym and Fitness Centre. She is also into farming and fashion designing.
The amiable wife of the Gospel Tungba singer, Yinka Ayefele is also on our list. Even though Temitope Ayefele does not like to be in the news all the time, she’s doing extremely well. She runs a multi-millionaira Kiddies Store. Don’t forget that she also has a foundation. “Temitope Titilope Ayefele Foundation” (TTAF). She is a businesswoman per excellence.
Another super rich society woman we can’t fail to mention is Alhaja Shakirat Ibilola Adetunji, who once contested Ibadan North East/South Reps seat. She’s very famous and popular. We won’t stop without mentioning the super rich owner of popular Mauve 21 Event Centre before she handed over to her son. She is Alhaja Abibat Bolanle Muraina.
Let’s also mention top hospitality guru, and Ibadan society woman, Chief Ranti Koiki. She is a stylish woman any day, any time. She runs a thriving hotel, Fawzy in Ibadan. Her social connection is strong. She is tall and beautiful and wears strictly expensive shoes and bags.Her unique headgear stands her out at parties.
Fabric Merchant, Bisi Kuti also makes this list. She is the lovely wife of Ibadan Fashion Consultant, B.K.K Ultimo, Alhaji Bashir Kuti. Bisi runs Quality Textiles Store at New Gbagi market. Bisi Kuti dresses well. She always attend social functions with another top Ibadan society woman, Jade Qudus. Jade Qudus is an established name on the social scene. She is also a big time business woman.
Another top fabric merchant in Ibadan is Folashade Akinlabi. She plays big in the textile businessý. Fatshad, as she is known, flies around continents, buying and marketing her products. She is one of the most popular Gbagi big women. Apart from textile business, she is said to be involved in properties and real estate. Bigas Filling station is well scattered around the state but not too many people know the brain behind it.
There is also Alhaja Abibatulai Ladoja, the beautiful wife of Senator Rasheed Ladoja, the fomrer governor of Oyo State. She is not only beautiful, she is stylish too. There is also Alhaja Sherifat Romoke Akeusola. She is a fabric merchant in Ibadan. People call her Alhaja Laola. She is the CEO of Laola Walakuwata Textile Nigeria Ltd. She is the wholesaler of Ankara @ New Gbagi Market.
Equally big and popular is Alhaja Abosede Adedibu. She is a big businesswoman and politician. She is the widow of Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu. She is beautiful and stylish.
There is also Bose Adekanbi who owns a wine store at Orita Basorun and Elebu Area also.
There are others like Iyabode Lisk Carew, Iya Adeen Adijat and Adeola Ajimobi. There is also Ibadan Fashion Designer, Aramide Taiwo Adenle (Aramite) CEO & House of Aramite in Ibadan. There are others like Ola Mummy, a Caterer.
We almost forgot kjto tell you about Ayefe Aina who is into Building materials. This beautiful woman is very stylish and looks gorgeous all the time. How about Bolaji Abeke Onibuore who sells Ankara and Alhaja Ayisat Olalekan? Both make the list of celebrity women. The same thing with Yinka Amoke Tella and Toyin Aduke. She sells shoes and bags. She is based in Ibadan too. Yinka Amoke Tella is from Abeokuta. She’s into Cosmetics. She lives in Ibadan. There is also Ajoke Ijebu. She is the CEO of Ajoke Ijebu Textiles.
There is also Mrs Victoria Samson, the Managing Director of BOVAS Group, an indigenous independent petroleum marketing company, which she established together with her husband in 1980. The marketer has over 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry as dealer with both Texaco Nigeria Plc and Mobil Plc. She was the first Nigerian to win the highly competitive Texaco Latin America West Africa (LAWA) Award for Best Overall Dealer in 1990 for the highest sales in both regions combined.
There is also Funmi Robert, a prominent female lawyer in Ibadan. Called to the Nigerian Bar in June 1982 after obtaining her Bachelor of Law Degree in the Second Class Upper Division from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Osun State of Nigeria, she taught at the Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, after a 3-month stint as State Counsel in the Ministry of Justice of Oyo State of Nigeria.Immediately after obtainingý her Masters at Law Degree from her alma mater, she established her Law Firm, Funmi Roberts & Co. Another celebrity is Mrs. Funsho Adeola. She is the Director of The Vale College, Ibadan. The only daughter of late former Governor of Oyo State and Power and Steel Minister. She is a mentor to many women in the state. And apart from this, she has nurtured her school to greatness as it is one of the most sought-after schools within and outside the state.
Also on this list is Mutiat Ladimeji. She runs MUTLAD Oil. The company which started from scratch has blossomed to a stage that many people are ‘queuing’ to buy into it. She is very loaded but seldom makes noise about herself. She is one of the top celebrity women in Ibadan that we hardly talk about.
On this list is also Mrs Tolu Akande, the super-rich wife of Late Harry Akande. She is one quiet woman who does not also make noise in Ibadan. She is highly revered, very polished and into mega lucrative businesses.
