THE FAJEMIROKUNS
This is one of the most prominent families in Ile-Oluji. The name rings a bell beyond Ondo State and Nigeria. The Fajemirokuns are known for their astute business skills. They are ubiquitous in various professions such as Banking, Insurance, Medicine, Food & Breweries, Risk management among others. Notable among them are the Late Dr. Henry Fajemirokun, Dr. Oladele Fajemirokun is the chairman Aiico Insrance Plc, Xerox Nigeria, Chicken Republic, besides more than 30 other companies across Nigeria. Mr. Babatunde Fajemirokun, Dr. Adenike Koumpatis nee Fajemirokun among others are from this great family.
THE AKINGBOLAS
Today, in Oke-Igbo , one of the prominent and respected families is the Akingbola family and most prominent among them is the founder of the defunct Intercontinental Bank, Plc and owner of Inspirational FM in Lagos, Chief Erastus Akingbola.
THE FAGUNWAS
Fagunwa from Oke-Igbo is another famous family in the history of Ondo State and Nigeria. The family has immensely contributed to the educational sector in the country. The late Daniel Olorunfumi Fagunwa (MBE) popularly known as D.O. Fagunwa, was a Nigerian author who pioneered the Yoruba language novel genre. Fagunwa was awarded the Margaret Wong Prize in 1955 and was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1959. Also prominent is the daughter and a former chairperson of Ile-Oluji/ Oke-Igbo local government area of Ondo State.
THE FAROTADES
The Farotade family is one of the first set of royal lineages in Oke igbo. They are not only known for their royal lineage, but also for their contributions towards the growth of the state and country at large. Among them is the late Oba Sijuade Farotade, the Kuole Oloje III, the late monarch was the first Oba to use the title of Oluoke of Okeigbo; Prince Gabriel Jadesimi Farotade, CEO Farotade Management and a former acting National President, Institute of Management Consultant among others.
THE OGUNJINMIS
The Ogunjinmi family is another popular royal family in Okeigbo Kingdom. The late Oba Daniel Ogunjinmi, Ajibike II, reigned for more than 10 years as the third Oluoke of Okeigbo. The stylish monarch, who is a descendant of Ile-Oluwo Ajike, was the first Oba of Okeigbo to wear beaded crown.

The Iges are one of the notable families that have produced men and women of repute, among them are Chief Akinji Ige, Mrs Tope Ige-Isong, Mrs Funmi Olotu nee Ige, Hon. Bankole Ige among others.
THE ADEGEYES
The Adegeyes are another big family Ile-Oluji in Ondo State of which a former Special Adviser on agriculture to ex-governore Agagu and Author, Prof. Adeduro Adegeye, are most prominent among them as the latter also lectures at Joseph Ayodele Babalola University. THE ADEDUGBES
The Adedugbe of Ile-Oluji kingdom is, no doubt ,one of the prominent royal families, who ruled Ile-Oluji for 26 years. The Adedugbes are well known in the country. Most prominent is the Late Jegun of Ile-oluji, His Royal Majesty Oba Eng. Dr. Stephen Suulade Adedugbe (JP) MFR, FNSE, JilubokunII and a former Chairman Ondo State Council of Obas, Mrs. Shade Adetoun Adedugbe among others.
THE AKINTERINWAS
They hail from Ile-Oluji town. The family is known for its academics and reputable politicians. A renowned Professor and former DG, Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), former commissioner for finance and an ACN governorship aspirant, Hon. Wale Akinterinwa, Hon Yinka Akinterinwa, SA to Gov. Mimiko and PDP’s chieftain among others.
THE FASAWES
The Fasawe family is one of the prominent and influential Royal Families, who hail from Okeigbo. Though, there is another Otunba Fasawe from Owo, but the Okeigbo Fasawe is the pioneer monarch from his ruling house and he is the 5th Oluoke of Okeigbo, he is no other than, Oba Sir (Dr.) Timothy Oluwofe fasawe, the Odo Eleyowo III, among others.
THE FAGBAMIYES
Another notable family in Ile-Oluji is Fagbemiye. The present Lisa of Ile-Oluji, High Chief Johnson Fagbamiye, who is the chairman of Regency Council. He is one of the family’s most prominent sons. Also is Babatunde Fagbemiye, a Medical Director, at Allwell Behavioral and Arch. Bayo Fagbamiye among others.
THE OLADIYUNS
One of the respected and prominent families in Ile-Oluji is the Oladiyun family. This family has immensely contributed to the growth of the town. Most prominent among them is the founder of CLAM, Senior Pastor Wole Oladiyun.
THE ADERINS
The Aderin Ologbenla family is the most prominent family in the history of Okeigbo. Their forefathers, who were warriors from Ile-Ife founded the town called Okeigbo today. They are the first set of family to rule the town over 100 years ago. The late Oba Emmanuel Adetunji Aderin, the Ologbenla IV and the 2nd Oluoke of Okeigbo are sons of Ologbenla.
THE AWONIYIS
The Awoniyi family is one of the prominent families from Ile-Oluji in Ondo state who have played significant roles in the state and Nigeria in general. Most prominent among them is the renowned professor of Public Health and farm Hygiene at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Prof. Tunde Amos Mcjones (TAM) Awoniyi.
THE TOFOWOMOS
The Tofowomo is another family, who hails from Ile-Oluji. The current commissioner for Transport, Otunba Nicholas Tofowomo, Urb. Abimbola Tofowomo, Director of Housing and Urban Development, Akin Tofowomo, among others.
THE ODUKUNLES
Another prominent family from Okeigbo in Ile-Oluji/ Okeigbo Local Government area is the Odukunle. They are descendants of Ajibike ruling house and the late Oba, (Sir) Daniel Adeniyi Odukunle (JP), was the 4th Oluoke of Okeigbo to ascend the throne. And till date, they remain one of the royal ruling families in the town.
THE ADETIMEHINS
One of the prominent royal fathers and first class monarch in Ondo State is a renowned Insurance guru, HRM Oba (Dr) Julius Oluwole Adetimehin, Jimoko II, the Jegun Olu Ekun of Ile-Oluji Kingdom, who is the 31st king to rule Ile-Oluji.
THE OSUNYIKANMIS
The Osunyikan of Ile-Oluji Kingdom is another prominent family in the town. Members are very popular in the political and social circles in the state and the country at large. A former Ondo State Commissioner for education and DG/ CEO Directorate of Technical Aid Corps, Dr. Puis Osunyikanmi, is also one of them.
THE FAGOROYES
The current Odole of Ile-Oluji, High Chief Fagoroye, is one of the prominent and notable members of the family. He was the one, who announced the demise of the late monarch, Oba Adedugbe, and one of the respected high chiefs.
THE OLORUNSOJIS
Pa Chief Adesola Olorunsoji is one of the sons of a respected APC’s leader, Chief Kayode, an elder statesman, from Ile-Oluji. He was one of the founding members of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Ondo State and a former Action Congress state chairman in Ondo State. Aside their political history, they have also played significant roles in the development of Ondo State.
THE OLUBAKINDES
They are another prominent family in Ile-Oluji. Members include Pastor Femi Olubakinde, Pastor Mrs. Bukola Oladiyun nee Olubakinde, wife of Pastor wole Oladiyun, founder of Christ LivingSpring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM).
THE OYEWUNMIS
Chief Kayode Oyewunmi, the Lisajigan of Ile-Oliuji and Dr. Boye Oyewunni were among APC governorship aspirants. The family is also among the prominent families in the town.
THE AKINYEMIJUS
The family of Akinyemiju of Ile-Oluji is conspicuous in the country as they are found in various spheres of life and professions. Prof. Oluyemisi Akinyemiju is one of them.
THE GBEMILADES
Gbemilade family from Okeigbo is another prominent family in town that has been contributing to the growth of the state. Members include: Alhaji Folagbade Gemilade, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Ile-Oluji/ Okeigbo constituency and the current Baba Adinni of Okeigbo Central Mosque, among others in the family.
THE FAJOLUS
They are among the big families in Ile-Oluji, who are visible in most professions and they hold key political posts. They include the Barr. Femi Fajolu, Hon. Abimbola Fajolu, representing Ile-Oluji/ Okeigbo constituency, among others.
THE FADAMITANS
The current Chairman Ondo State Management Board, Hon Shina Fadamitan, Tolu Fadamitan, Babafemi Fadamitan are members of the family.
