DMW is arguably the biggest record label in Nigeria with over 7 officially signed artistes and over 20 unsigned who are using the platform to grow their names. David Adedeji Adeleke who is popularly called Davido, is a singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born in Atlanta and raised in Lagos, Davido made his music debut as a member of the music group KB International. He studied business administration at Oakwood University before dropping out to make beats and record vocal references. Davido rose to fame in 2011 with the release of “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo in 2012. The album also contains six additional singles: “Back When”, “Ekuro”, “Overseas”, “All of You”, “Gbon Gbon”, and “Feel Alright”. In 2012, Davido also won the Next Rated award at The Headies. Between 2013 and 2015, he released the hit singles “Gobe”, “One of a Kind”, “Skelewu”, “Aye”, “Tchelete (Goodlife)” featuring Mafikizolo, “Naughty” featuring DJ Arafat, “Owo Ni Koko”, “The Sound” and “The Money” featuring Olamide. In January 2016, Davido announced on Twitter that he signed a record deal with Sony Music. His announcement was met with mixed reactions. The record label put out a press release to confirm the deal. He is also a multi-award-winning artiste, On November 30, 2017, Davido won the Best African Act at the MOBO Awards and also became the first African act to perform live at the awards. On June 24, 2018, Davido became the first African-based artist to have received his award on the BET Awards main stage. His award was presented by Hollywood actor Omari Hardwick and actress Tika Sumpter. In his acceptance speech, he urged patrons and American artists to visit Africa and also enjoy African food. Davido’s second studio album A Good Time is scheduled for release on November 22, 2019. The album will feature the previously released singles “Fall”, “Assurance” and “Blow My Mind”. It all started with a song. ‘If’, the record by Davido released in 2017 with a line that resonated with millions of people across the continent. “30 Billion for the account oh.”It was a harmless line, designed to show affluence to his love interest who he was threatening to kill with enjoyment. But as the record grew, and the line spread, Davido and his team members, his record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) knew that they had struck gold. Mayorkun who happens to be one of the sought after artistes in Nigeria currently breaking records in and out of the country. Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel born March 23, 1994, known professionally as Mayorkun, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and pianist who was discovered on Twitter by Davido when he posted a cover of one of Davido’s “The Money” featuring Olamide. He was later signed to Davido’s DMW in 2016 and released his first single called “Eleko and has since then been dropping hit songs back to back. Mayowa is an award-winning artiste who has carved a niche for himself with his good music. He currently had his concert in Arena 02 London and it was a massive shut down.
DREMO
Dremo is one of the biggest rap artistes in Nigeria and also a music producer. He was signed alongside Mayorkun in 2016, as they both made things happen in DMW. He rose to fame after he was discovered by Davido. Dremo whose real name is Aboriomoh Femi Raymond. Dremo started his music production at the age of 12 as a rapper and songwriter, moving forward to his music career he got signed on his first professional contract to APPE Music Entertainment in (2013). He is also known as the king of Afro rap in the music industry. On (April 5, 2016) Dremo got signed to Davido Music Worldwide (D.M.W) a record owned by Davido. His singles titled Fela ‘Panda’ made him more recognized by Davido. He has released songs and videos which are trending around the internet like YouTube and iTunes. Dremo has worked with different artistes in the music industry and also went for his first International tour with his label mate Mayorkun to the United Kingdom.
PERUZZI
Tobechukwu Victor Okoh ( born 5 December 1989), also known as Peruzzi is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who came to limelight after the release of Amaka which features 2baba on it and then went on to drop single Majesty, off his Heartwork EP featured 2018 Big Brother Naija runner up Cee-C. Prior to the release of Majesty, the singer had been criticized by many social media users in Nigeria who claimed the singer only shines on featured songs.
ICHABA
Ichaba whose real name is Mayowa Olusanya is a fast-rising Nigerian Singer & SongWriter signed to DMW. The Afro musician hails from Oyo State. Ichaba made his first appearance on the big screen featuring on his label mate at that time Dremo’s hit song titled “Normal Levelz”, as well as Chopstix’s “Sai Baba”. He started singing professionally in the year 2015 when he signed with Appe Music Entertainment. Ichaba has released the debut track titled “Dasoro Mii” under APPE music before he moved to DMW “Dasoro Mii” was a major hit; the single also arrived with a music video that gave it a power punch which got massive airplay.
YONDA
Yonda is a Nigerian singer and songwriter currently signed to Davido Music World Record Label (DMW). Yonda was signed to DMW in January 2017. He also released his hit single “Las Veg and has since then been waxing stronger.
DJ E COOL
His real name is Ebianga Inang Ikpeme popularly known as DJ Ecool. He is an International DJ, host and promoter who became known as Davido’s official DJ. He’s worked with the likes of Wizkid, Doug E. Fresh, Sound Sultan and Ludacris. He has dropped several hit singles under the DMW umbrella including ‘Ada’, ‘Personally’ and 4U featuring Peruzzi and Davido.
LIL FROSH
Eruku Makanaki also known as Lil Frosh is the latest DMW act signed after popping with amazing freestyles on Instagram. Lil Frosh is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper. He is a very close friend to fellow artiste, Zinoleesky and is popular for his ‘Yahoo-Yahoo’ inspired songs and raps. He came into limelight after releasing many songs in the street, and also popular for his unique dressing pattern and colour matching in clothes. He became one of the sought after young acts after the release of his hit song Fri Yahoo which featured Small Doctor.
