•She Is Called LUSH EBY
•Reveals Their Love Story
Obi Cubana is a big boy who is very rich. He has been very popular for years. Among young Igbo Big Boys, he is extremely popular and adored. His mother’s burial further brought him out when he had an elaborate event.
But not many people know the beautiful lady behind him. She is Barrister Mrs. Ebele Iyiegbu. She is a Lawyer. She is an Events Manager. She is the founder @Kiekfoundation. She is also involved in the running of Obi Cubana’s new initiative, the real estate business, called @Casa-Cubanahomes. She is popularly called Lush Eby.
She runs @thekiekfoundation, which she established with aim of improving the lives of the less privileged and children in our society through quality education, healthcare and nutrition and child’s right governance and empowerment. She introduced the RACT-In-ICT programme conceived in 2018 to combat the rising rate of Poverty, Insecurity, and Unemployment in Nigeria. “We realised quite early that once young people are empowered, with basic ICT skills, they will not only stay off crime because they now have a source of income which now enables them to fend for themselves, they will become employers of labour and in the long run contribute to building the nation’s economy.
What the foundation does is to arm young ones with one of the most important tools needed to excel in a competitive world, ICT Skills. Lush Eby expects that they will go out to make a difference by putting into practice all that they have learnt.
Her mission is to bridge the gap through Sustainable ICT Skills. She calls it RACT-IN-ICT meaning Rural Areas Children and Teenagers in Information and Communication Technology. She is doing her projects in partnership with the NCC.
Obi Cubana loves Lush his baby girl so much. They travel around the world together. And he spoils her silly. In July they were both at Lily Beach Resort & Spa in the Maldives.
On 14th June 2021 they celebrated their 13th Wedding Anniversary with an anniversary soiree at The White House.
She took the opportunity of the celebration to say thank you once again to her husband, Obi Cubana. “God bless the day I met you. You are a total package made from above just for me. Thank you SHUGAH”.
She calls him My Happily Ever After…” I will still love ya even when we are old and wrinkly…”
During their anniversary she reflected on their wedding. “Marriage as I have come to learn in these 13 years is all about 2 imperfect persons with a forgiving heart…two understanding souls who have made a firm decision to stick it out together and do this thing called marriage… All I can see is God’s hand in my marriage because till now, I can’t seem to understand how seamless it’s been. There’s a saying that all marriages struggle. Well, yes definitely!”
“But then again, we’ve perfected our own way of resolving issues without breaking heads and shattering glasses, without raising voices and carrying matchets. All I know is that this is actually God because these imperfect people can’t be this good… It’s been Him…not me…not you my, husband, but just God.
Today, I renew my vow to you Shuga M, the ying in my yang, my dark chocolate, hot cocoa, my lover, my Shugah, father of my amazing boys, my boss general…to love and cherish you till death do us part. I pray for many more fruitful years with you… Happy anniversary to you my once in a lifetime lover! Thank you for making it easy to love you. They say it’s money…but we all know that even those with the whole money in this world couldn’t stay together.
They say it’s Kayamata, but we all know that even Kayamata is man-made and should have an expiry date. They say it’s for the gram but for how long can you keep up with the gram? They keep wondering how we keep holding it together but then forgot that God himself sealed this deal and no man can put it asunder. Through the good times and bad times, the only thing that we know is that we will always love and be there for each other. I love you babe. Chews to many more blissful years of loving this perfectly imperfect lover of mine! Happy 13th anniversary to us babe”.
A year ago, during the lockdown on her 12th wedding anniversary eve, she did her 1st Instagram Live to celebrate her wedding anniversary. She was thankful to God for keeping her marriage of 12 years and she went live to ask people what they thought could be ways to have a successful marriage. What started as a joke turned out to be a life-changing experience for her. That is how Under The Mango Tree (Marriage & Relationship Edition) was birthed.
