The Real Estate business in the last few years was largely dominated by the men. And it was generally believed that the sector was strictly for men. Recently, women have been getting involved in the business in Nigeria, as more and more women are now going into the sector, either with their husbands or stand alone as real estate players.
This week, City People’s ISAAC ABIMBADE presents 10 women who manage real estate companies with their husbands to you.
MRS RONKE
EMMANUEL KING
Mrs. Ronke EmmanuelKing, is the beautiful wife of top Lagos property player, Oba Adetola Emmanuel King, CEO/Chairman of Adron Homes and Properties. She is also the Executive Director of the company. She plays a vital role in ensuring that Adron Homes remains one of the big brands in the real estate sector.
She is directly involved in the running of the firm. In fact, she has been able to promote and develop several projects which have become integral parts of Adron Homes. She coordinates the day to day activities and also monitors other branches within and outside Lagos.
TOLULOPE ONALAJA
Tolulope Onalaja, is the, Executive Director of Revolutionplus Property Company Ltd. The young and vibrant lady was referred to by her husband as the brain behind RevolutionplusProperty. She is efficient and prudent as the company ED. She the company with her caring husband, Mr Bamidele Onalaja, who is the CEO/Chairman of the company.
ICHECHI OKONKWO
Mrs Ichechi Okonkwo, is the wife of Mr Kennedy Okonkwo, CEO/Chairman of Nedcomoaks Properties. The company is one of the top real estate developers in Lagos. It has built and sold a lot of housing units in their few years of operation. Apart from the laundry business she runs, this beautiful and dedicated woman also contributes her quota in the running of the firm. She holds a strong position in the company.
DESIREE OSUNSINA
Talk of one property firm that invested heavily in the property sector over the years in the Lagos and Ibadan axis and Megamound would readily come to your mind. Olumide Osunsina is the CEO/Chairman of Megamound Properties Development Company. It is a known fact that, he runs the company with his beautiful wife, Desiree, who is an Executive Director in the company. When you talk about big and luxury housing estates in Lagos, this couple is one of the few brains behind them. They are the developers of NICON Town and a host of others.
BUSAYO POPOOLA
She is the Executive Director of Highbridge Homes, where her husband, Mr Olawale Popoola is the Managing Director. This couple co-runs the company and have been able to build it to where it is today. Before her present role, she has worked in different organisations and proved her worth.
Today, she’s been able to build the company, Highbridge homes with her husband, to an enviable height and it’s now one of the youngest real estate firms to look out for in the near future.
DR JAYNE OBIOMA ONWUMERE
She is the President and co-founder of PWAN HOMES. Dr. Jayne Obioma Onwumere, is a high-end realtor, an ingenious network marketer, and a top businesswoman. She is a co-founder of PWAN Group, and the brain behind several creatively savvy ideas that have made PWAN Group a multi-billion naira company with multinational reach in developed countries like the United States. She is the President of The PWAN HOMES, leading the pack of the first Real Estate Network Marketing companies in the world from the front.
Jayne Onwumere, is a woman with laser focus and determination. Her husband, Dr Augustine Ozioma Onwumere, is the Chairman of the company. Their combination has yielded positive result in the real estate sector, as they now have more than 20 subsidiaries.
BUKOLA OLATUJOYE
Bukola Olatujoye, is a seasoned and experienced business administrator and entrepreneur with over a decade of practical experience. She is a graduate of Business Administration from the Lagos State University(LASU).She had served as a senior member of top organizations.
She is a certified Human Resources Management Professional. Currently, she serves in the management team of Zylus, she has helped steer the organization towards greater height and achieved success, which is evident in the company’s revenue within the last two years. Dr Tosin Olatujoye is the MD of Zylus Homes and also the husband of Mrs Olatujoye. The combination of these two has helped the company to become one of the fastest-growing real estate companies in Nigeria.

Mrs Oluwadamilola Ajiboye, is the pretty wife of Dr. Ajiboye Oyeleke, who runs Efficacy Construction Company with her husband. She is the Executive Director, Business & Procurement. She’s very efficient and detailed in her role. That’s why her husband, Dr Ajiboye Oyeleke, who hold sway as CEO, Efficacy Construction Company, does not joke with her. This young and pretty woman is very much involved in the running of the firm.

Chief (Mrs) Adeyinka, is directly involved in the running of Sparklight, In fact, she is the Managing Director of Lapade Furniture Company Ltd. a mother of 3, she is also has created a niche for herself.
OMOWUNMI ODUTOLA
Mrs. Omowunmi Odutola is the wife of a renowned property player, Damilola Odutola. Chief Damilola is the owner of Queens Drive Estate, Queens Park Hall and so on. Though, she runs her own business but she is directly involved in the running of her husband’s real estate empire too.
