Saturday, 27th May, 2023 will forever remain indelible in the minds of Abuja residents, as the CEO of Brilliant Concept Realtor, Amb. Dr. Funke Kehinde, an award-winning realtor who has carved a niche for herself in the real estate industry, stormed Abuja for the maiden edition of her Free Mentorship School.
Her company is situated in Lagos, but she decided to launch the maiden edition of her new line of business, MFK School of Mentorship in Abuja.
The programme was a workshop with the theme “Marketing Real Estate with Ease”. The well-attended event kicked off around 11am at Sharon Ultimate Hotel, Area 3, Garki, Abuja. It had an influx of notable people in the society. The brain behind the initiative, Amb. Funke Kehinde was the first speaker, she opened up on her success story in the Real Estate Industry. She explained how she started her career in the Real Estate business at a Law and Property firm in Lagos.
She said her job description was to be a Personal Assistant, but she discovered she had a passion for what the company does and this made her to show interest, and when there was a vacancy, one of the administrative staff advised her to put in for the post, which she did and the rest is history. She further explained how the whole business works, and the likely challenges you might meet on your way. She admonished all the participants not to relent whenever the challenges come, but to be determined and remain focused.
The second speaker at the workshop was Ms Chichi Uchendu, a well-respected Social Entrepreneur who knows her onions in the industry. She is doing well in her line of business. She started by explaining that without social media, the Real Estate business might not strive the way it is right now in Nigeria or outside the country. She gave so many instances where people have made millions of Naira through social media. She also advised the participants to put in more effort when posting the houses/lands they have for sale. She stressed that they may not get a quick response, but they should not relent. After this, she introduced sponsored Advert to them.
The third speaker at the event was Dr. Mayor Ololade Valentina Abuta, the MD/CEO of Gracias Group. She is the CEO of a Real Estate company based in Lagos. Dr. Ova as she’s fondly called is the epitome of beauty and brain. She’s intelligent and highly connected. She knows the crème de la crème in the corridors of power. She stole so many people’s hearts with her humility and respectful attitude.
She didn’t spend much time on the podium because she explained that Dr. Funke had said most of the things she would have loved to talk about. However, she told all the participants to always keep their heads up, and not to look down on themselves. She also told them to always look presentable no matter what. She went down the memory line and explained how she started her real estate business despite the fact that so many people didn’t believe in her, at first. Her speech was such an impactful one.
MFK school of Mentorship
The last speaker was Mr Paul Foh, a certified Sales Coach, who has done so well for himself in the same line of business. He wasn’t present but he gave his speech virtually and it was so inspiring, educative and informative.
All the participants were awarded certificates after some light refreshments were served.
