Elisha Golbe Plateau United captain just voiced out saying the ‘real threat’ to their title ambition are MFM FC.
On Sunday, the Olukoya Boys registered their first away victory, after the restart of the league, against Remo Stars.
Austine Ogunye’s second half effort earned the second-placed side a 1-0 win over their Southwest rivals in Sagamu.
And Golbe, whose side also won their game against Shooting Stars at the Rwang Pam Stadium warns that the Peace Boys must produce their best in the remaining six matches to end the season as champions.
“We didn’t see it coming but we now know that we must take them seriously now if we are to end this season as league champions,” Golbe told Goal.
“We must remain at our best for the remainder of the league season and always rely on ourselves and not others.
“It was nice winning again before our fans against Shooting Stars who came to Jos full of optimism that they were going to get a good result after their unbeaten run. We put a halt to that but MFM are the real threat now,” he acknowledged.
“The victory they got at Remo has changed everything but we remain very confident that we can secure the results that will land us our first league title. We will want our destiny right in our own hands and not allow other teams to do it for us.”
