Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has escaped further FA sanction by a whisker after his dismissal at Southampton on Saturday.
The Portuguese tactician was sent off by referee Craig Pawson for stepping onto the pitch in stoppage time during their 1-0 win at St Mary’s.
After receiving the referee’s report, the FA decided no additional action was necessary.
Ever controversial Mourinho received two one-match bans from the FA for separate incidents last season.
A clause in his contract with the Old Trafford outfit revealed that he could have his contract revoked should he have numerous sanctions from the English FA.
