The 60th birthday celebration of this movie icon, Ogogo ran for a whole week with a series of activities to mark the glorious event.

The celebration started on Monday with the visitation of the celebrator to his home town, Ilaro in Ogun State where he received Royal blessing from the King, Olu of Ilaro, Paramount ruler of Yewaland, Hrm Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle-Asade Agunloye IV. It was followed by the commissioning of an ultra-modern borehole he donated to his Primary School, Christ Church School, Ilaro, the school he attended 49 years ago.

A cultural troupe which comprised of 5 young boys, who are professional poets ignited the social fire, as they started chanting and praising the celebrator (Ogogo). For 15 minutes, the whole of Ilaro town was literally shaken to its foundation. There, were also banners with his images, greeting him, celebrating him on every street, road, nook and cranny of Ilaro town.
