The entire Yoruba movie industry is looking forward to the forthcoming birthday of veteran actor and movie producer, Alhaji Yinka Quadri. He will be 60 in a few weeks’ time. But he does not look that far gone in age. He has this refreshingly young look that makes him look 10years younger.
His birthday comes up in September and he is planning to celebrate it big. Citypeople asked him for the secret of his refreshing look and he revealed that it is the Grace of God. “I can’t claim to know why or to say this is what I do. lt is God.”
He is a devout Muslim and he says good Muslims attribute everything to Allah.
His diamond jubilee celebration will hold on 6th September 2019 at Anchor event centre. Music will be by K1.
He has every reason to celebrate at 60. He is an accomplished theatre practitioner who has built a big brand in the movie industry.
He is one of the founders of the popular Odunfa Caucus which has produced close to 500 actors in the past 4 decades.
He has been acting since 1977 which makes it 42 years on stage. He and others like Ogogo and Abbey Lanre set up Odunfa Caucus in 1985 and the group has been waxing strong since then.
To mark his 60th he is set to officially inaugurate his new theatre school which he calls Yinka Quadri School of Drama.
