•As Wife, TOLULOPE ADENAIKE & Children Set To Celebrate Him

The stage is finally set for the 70th Birthday of financial experts, Mr Johnson Adesanya Adenaike, as family, friends, colleagues and other well-wishers plan big to celebrate him this week. Mr Johnson Adesanya Adenaike  FCCA, FCA.,  was born to the family of Marcus Adesanya Adenaike of Odolameso quarters- Ijebu Imusin and Princess Aiyedunro Adenaike- Nee Adekoya of ldokunusi quarters- Ijebu Mushin, on 23rd February 1952.

He grew up in a hamlet called, Egan Eribabalo, where his parents lived and practised farming. He started his primary school education at the age of 6, at Saint John’s primary school, Idode. He was very brilliant and always came first during his 2 years stay in the school. Mr Johnson Adesanya left Saint John’s primary school ldode in 1960 to Saint Mary’s Primary School, ljebu mushin. It is pertinent to mention that he started to live alone at the age of 9, taking decisions in all aspects of life.

In January 1968, he was offered admission into ljebu Ode grammar school and to the Glory of God almighty, he was awarded a western state government scholarship in 1970. The most important feature of the scholarship was that there was no application or interview. It was purely based on merit, for the best overall student in form 2 going to form 3. With this scholarship, his future became very bright, He finished his secondary school certificate examination in division one as a pure science student and wanted to become a petroleum engineer, with the hope of joining NNPC. However, man proposes while God disposes of. During the short period that he needed a job before proceeding to higher institution, he joined the federal inland revenue service, at Mosaic house, Tinubu square. There he found out, something very interesting. He noticed that all the senior officers there were Chartered Accountants. They were all driving exotic cars, dressing smartly and were very famous. The late Akarigbo of ljebu Remo, Oba Michael Adeniyi Sonariwo, was one of them. This made him jettison his ambition to become an engineer and started to enquire as to what he needed to do to become a Chartered Accountant. He was advised not to go to university, rather he should go to a polytechnic for early completion of the professional accounting examination. He got admission into The Polytechnic Ibadan in September 1973, for an Ordinary National Diploma Certificate. By the time he finished in June 1975, he had completed part 3 of The institute of chartered certified Accountant of London examination. Johnson Adesanya Adenaike later joined Federal Audit Department, before proceeding to Yaba college of technology for a higher national diploma certificate in 1976. Johnson passed the final part of the Association of chartered certified Accountants of London, during his first year and had to abandon the second year as he had already qualified as a Chartered Accountant. The federal government student loan and Ogun state bursary schemes made his tertiary education stress free. He joined Polygram records limited( formally Phonogram) as an accountant and was immediately sent to their  Africa regional office in Nairobi, Kenya, for a year of training. On his return from Kenya, he was promoted to the post of assistant chief accountant and chief accountant in 1983. He later became chief accountant/company secretary and eventually, general manager. He resigned in December 1992 to pursue other interests. Just before he resigned, he registered two companies, namely, Yomdass ventures limited and Yomdass Investments limited. With these businesses he excelled in spite of all the challenges, he faced initially. Johnson Adenaike Adesanya Adenaike is happily married to his beautiful wife Mrs Tolulope Adenaike and the union is blessed with 4 highly resourceful children, practicing their various professions, in the United States.

As for his religious persuasion, he strongly believes that the Lord Almighty, the owner of heaven and earth, the only one that can do miracles and the author of all good things in life, has been very kind to him. He, therefore, feels that he owes God loads of gratitude. He can never thank Him enough for what He has done. He will therefore be eternally grateful to Him. Moreso his 70th birthday celebration is all about appreciating God’s faithfulness in his life.ADENAIKE enjoys showing gratitude to the lord by actively participating in financing church projects, taking care of the poor, less privileged, orphans, widows, physically challenged persons and the elderly.
