Wife of Lagos state governor, Mrs Bolanle Ambode in the early hours of the new year 2018, visited Ikorodu General Hospital to welcome the first bay delivered in the year. The mother of twin, accompanied by the the deputy speaker of Lagos House of Assembly, Hon Wasiu Eshinlokun, Commissioner for health, Jide idris, Abike Dabiri and a host of others, stormed the hospital to receive a surprise welcome by the staff and residents of Ikorodu community.
What makes this visit more interesting is that the first delivery at the Ikorodu general hospital is a set of twin.;a male and female. The female, weighing about 2.8kg was delivered about 12.42a.m on the 1st of January, 2017, while the male was delivered about 12.42a.m weighing 3.2kg.
Mrs. Ambode, who is also a mother of twins, welcomed the twins and the mother with special gifts and cash presents
She also received a sum of N100,000 as support from Pears baby lotion
