At the just concluded 22nd City People Award For Excellence held at The Lekki Coliseum, in Lekki. Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq who is the new Kwara-governor-elect was honoured with the Politician of the year Award. He could not make it to the event but he was represented by 2 of his close aides, namely: Mobolaji Ogunlende and Usman Abdul-razaq.
The new Governor-elect of Kwara State is a very cool, calm and focused person. He had made a name for himself in the Oil sector before his foray into Politics. And those 3 virtues are part of what worked in his favour to emerge as the new Kwara Governor. Throughout his political career, he has always been focused and calculating in his pursuit of his goals. That is why he was able to beat the established political forces in his state.
That Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq emerged the new governor of Kwara State is a big victory, because no one gave him a chance. Many people never thought it was possible to beat and defeat the dynasty that has held down the state for many years. It is for his deft political victory in Kwara that Alhaji Rahman Abdulrazaq was honoured yesterday as the Politician of the Year.
