The Lagos Branch of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers on Wednesday 24th May, 2023 held the 15th edition of its Honours Nite in Grand Style. The classy event was a merit awards ceremony that the branch of the reputable association uses to celebrate and reward excellence in the real estate industry.
The year’s edition was held under the administration of its trailblazing chairman, ESV (Mrs.) Olabisi Demola-Alade. The glamorous event held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos is a night the association would cherish forever. and was attended by the who is who in the built industry. It had in attendance dignitaries like the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the Elegushi of Ikateland, HRM Oba Saheed Elegushi; The Oniru of Iruland, and HRM Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal. Each of them sent capable hands to represent them. Among the many top dignitaries physically at the event were the President of NIESV, ESV Johnbull Amayaevbo; Chairman, WEMABOD Limited, ESV. Ibukun Efuntayo.
The Honours Nite started on a good note as guests were given a warm reception on arrival. They started having the feel of how the night would turn right from the Red Carpet Session which was the first point of contact before they went into the hall. Photographers and journalists from reputable media houses were on ground taking lovely photographs and conducting interviews respectively.
On getting into the hall, there were professional event ushers welcoming guests in and ensuring they sat at their reserved seats. The ambience of the hall was cool and relaxing. It was very apt for the event of the day. Meanwhile, the T Classic band, the official musician of the day, was already entertaining guests seated as they awaited the commencement of the programme.
The programme of the day was anchored by the MC and Comedian popularly known by his stage name Damolaismyname. He no doubt anchored the event with class as he was able to ensure the smooth rundown of the events on the programme agenda for the nite.
The high point of the event was the presentation of awards to deserving recipients who have done remarkably well within the time frame of 2021-2023. The highly competitive awards were done in 3 categories; first, Silver Awards covered a recipient in about 12 categories. Second, the Meritorious Awards where the chairman honoured 16 individuals and organisations whose support have been immense for the branch. Third, Gold Awards which also covered a recipient in about 12 categories.
Aside from the delicious meals served and lovely music enjoyed on the night, a Raffle draw was held with lucky winners smiling home with lots of gifts.
