The Green Dot is the new logo replacing the old one which was the map of Nigeria with a mum and dad holding a baby. The Green Dot campaign was launched for different reasons and one of those reasons is for the goal of having more people using contraceptives across the country.
If 36% of Nigerian women use child spacing and family planning services, it will help the Nigerian government plan better for the populace.
Family planning and child spacing services at all public health facilities are FREE of charge and a site marker will be seen on those facilities.
How is the Green Dot a symbol of unity? The idea is that it takes all members of the family to take decisive steps in making sure that building a home is not a chore but a joy for everyone involved.
The Green Dot is launched by the Federal Ministry of Health and supported by UNFPA, Marie Stopes International, Pathfinder International, Clinton Health Access International, Palladium, Population Council, Evidence For Action, fhi360, Health Communication Capacity Collaborative, MNCH2.
