The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay, has accused the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, of corrupt practices under the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Speaking at the National Dialogue on Corruption organised by PACAC at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday, Sagay insisted that corruption was very much present in all segments of the country.
According to Sagay, “There is no difference in Customs since May 29, 2015. If you go to Tin Can Island, it is business as usual.”
The PACAC Chairman also accused the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, of corruption under the current administration.
Sagay said despite the financial difficulties, Nigeria was going through, NDDC recently bought over 70 cars that included eight super Lexus that cost N70m each.
The Chairman said despite the purchase, NDDC’s Managing Director recently claimed that the commission lacks fund to carry out its responsibilities.
