Nollywood actor Chris Bassey, who began his career as a scriptwriter in the early 2000s and later transitioned to acting in 2012, has revealed his switch to plumbing after relocating to Canada.
Known for writing his first screenplay, Master of The Game in 2004, and starring in films such as Sin Of A Woman (2013), School Trouble (2014), Love In A Valley (2022), and A Bet On Love, Bassey revealed in a recent Instagram Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze that plumbing offers better financial rewards than tech jobs.
“I’m into construction here; I do plumbing, and it pays better than tech,” Bassey explained during the live session. The actor shared how his new career has taken him across various Canadian provinces in the past seven months. “The provinces I’ve visited just on weekends within Canada – someone in tech can’t afford what I earn,” he said, adding that his earnings have far exceeded his expectations since making the switch.
