The Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, has been plunged into grief once more with the sad news of the passing of veteran actor Zulu Adigwe. The announcement of Adigwe’s demise surfaced on Tuesday on social media, as confirmed by movie producer Stanley Nwoko via an Instagram post.

Mourning the loss, Nwoko expressed heartfelt condolences, writing, “Rest in peace, good actor.” Adigwe’s death comes in the wake of recent tragedies, including the untimely demise of Junior Pope and three other Nollywood actors in a tragic boat accident on the Anam River just two weeks prior.

Born in Enugu State, Adigwe spent his early years there before relocating to Austria, where he completed his primary and secondary education.

The late actor was known for his portrayal of fatherly roles in Nollywood films, earning recognition and admiration from audiences. Adigwe’s prominent breakthrough came with his role as Mr. B in the popular sitcom “Basi and Company” and further showcased his talent in the successful 2019 movie “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.”

His legacy in Nollywood will be remembered, cherished, and celebrated by fans and colleagues alike.
