He graduated in 1986 with B.SC (Hons) in Accounting.
It is worthy of note that throughout his years in both Secondary School and University, he combined work with academic pursuit.
After the one year mandatory NYSC which he went through at Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, he returned home in search of job. It must be mentioned that he got full time employment even before the completion of the NYSC as a Mathematics teacher having distinguished himself midway into the service scheme.

In 1998, he was invited to contest the Chairmanship position of Abeokuta North Local Government on the platform of Alliance for Democracy (AD). This invitation is not unconnected
with his good performance while in the House of Assembly. To God be the Glory as he contested
and won the election convincingly against all odds. Immediately after completing his tenure as the Executive Chairman, two months after, he was appointed the Transition Committee Chairman of the same Local Government. His performance as the Executive Chairman formed the basis for his appointment of the Chairman of the Transition Committee.
In year 2003, PDP took over the reign of power in Ogun State from AD. In year 2006, he was
invited into PDP and appointed a member of the Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta.

Committee Chairman for Abeokuta North Local Government. These three (3) positions were
managed together by Alh. (Hon) Morufu Omolaja Ajisegiri.
Morufu Ajisegiri’s struggle for the Orile Oko freedom and Oke Ona from the hands of Remos while in the House of Assembly fetched him a Chieftaincy title of Okanlomo of Ago Oko in February 1992.
