Oba Oladipo Olaitan succeeds Chief Ayo Adebanjo as Afenifere Leader

Oba Oladipo Olaitan has been appointed as the new Leader of Afenifere, a prominent Yoruba socio-political organization. This decision was made at the group’s monthly general meeting held at the country home of the late Leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, in Isanya Ogbo, Ogun State.

 

 

Oba Olaitan, a seasoned lawyer and politician, has been a member of Afenifere for over 45 years. He has served in various capacities, including National Financial Secretary under Chief Reuben Fasoranti and Deputy Leader under Chief Ayo Adebanjo

 

His wealth of experience and commitment to the organization’s ideals make him an ideal candidate for the position.

In his acceptance speech, Oba Olaitan pledged to uphold the ideals of Afenifere, advocating for restructuring and true federalism. He also emphasized the importance of unity within the organization, ensuring that Afenifere remains a strong and cohesive force in Nigerian politics.

 

 

The meeting also addressed the worsening security situation in the country, particularly the kidnapping of Prince Eniola Ojajuni. Afenifere called on the governments of Ondo and Kogi States, as well as relevant security agencies, to act swiftly and ensure the safe rescue of the young man.

 

 

Other notable attendees at the meeting included Senator Femi Okunrounmu, Senator Gbenga Kaka, and Chief Tola Mobolurin. The meeting was a significant step forward for Afenifere, marking a new era under Oba Oladipo Olaitan’s leadership.
