Oba (Dr.) Adeoriyomi Abdu-Akeem Oluwasesan Oyebo, the Obateru of Egbin Kingdom in Ikorodu, Lagos led friends and families to Texas in the United States on the 11th of May, 2019 when his pretty wife, Oloori Adetokunbo Amori Dosumu Oyebo, threw a classy 2-in-1 party for their little Princess, Hassanat Omokehinde Adediwura Amoke Oyebo in grand-style.
The event which kicked off amidst pomp and pageantry at 1504 Carrier Parkway Grandpraire, Texas, United States was one of the most talked about parties for many months even before it took place. This is because Oba Oyebo and his pretty Oloori have a particular story which is so touching. The much talked about party kicked off as early as 2 pm with the children party, while a grand adult reception was declared open at 5 pm and lasted till wee hours of the morning of the next day.
The excited Kabiyesi tagged the event a “Special Thanksgiving” because of what he has been through in his 47 years on earth. He made sure he left no stone unturned to make the event grand. Not only were many of his friends happy that he has joined the “fatherhood” train, but they all also came out in number to celebrate with him in far away the United States. What about Olori Adetokunbo friends too? They were happy that their soft-hearted friend is now a happy mother in her mid-40s.
What calls for the celebration you may ask? Why the need for a big Owambe? Perhaps we should gist you in full. Oba Oriyomi is one of the first class Obas in Lagos. He is the 2nd first class Oba in Ikorodu, who is also popular. He moves with the shakers and movers of Lagos society. His title, as Obateru of Egbin, also makes him so popular because of Obat Oil. Of course, it’s just a title. He is also close to many Lagos big boys. He is one of the close friends of Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Oba Dosumu, the Akinsikun of Lagos, to mention a few. He is blessed with beautiful Olooris but this is his very first child in life. He is 47 years and this is why he couldn’t hold his joy when his youngest wife, Oloori Adetokunbo, who is from the popular Dosumu family in Lagos gave birth last year. Oloori Adetokunbo is the younger sister of popular Lagos Chief, Oba Dosunmu a.k.a Akinsikun of Lagos. Olori Adetokunbo’s father is Akinsiku’s dad’s younger brother. She also shares a very cordial relationship with her first cousin, the Akinsiku of Lagos.
Not until now, Oba Oyebo had kept the news of the arrival of his bundle of joy under wrap away from public glare, due to what he has been through. Even his pretty wife who has been described as one of the most respectful and down to earth women have been through a lot. Of course, you may ask why the baby bears Omokehinde” This is because they were twins and one was a stillbirth. This definitely calls for celebration and that is why Kabiyesi is celebrating it big with her 1st birthday and thanksgiving.
Olori Adetokunbo was the cynosure of all eyes when she stepped out at few minutes past 2 pm in lace attire, matched with expensive designers Shoes and Bags. Many who saw her with her husband could mistake them for a new couple. They smiled as they danced with Omokehinde, their daughter. Their friends also danced in with them. Of course, the Lagos Owambe mood was fully activated. There was special aso-ebi for all Olori Tokunbo’s friends. They were also happy that their friend is now “Mama Hossanat Oyebo”.
