OGSIEC to inaugurate newly appointed electoral officers

In preparation for the forthcoming Local Government elections scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024, the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has announced the inauguration of newly appointed Electoral Officers on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Speaking at the Commission’s Headquarters in Abeokuta, the Chairman of the Commission, Babatunde A. Osibodu, Esq., revealed that the inauguration will be held at the Conference Room of the Commission at 12:00 noon. He further noted that training for additional AdHoc staff will commence on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
Representing the Chairman, the Commissioner in charge of Media and civic Education, Mr. Ayodele Bankole, stated that 20 electoral officers have been appointed to oversee critical functions in the election process. He emphasized the importance of their role in ensuring a free, fair, and transparent election.
Mr. Bankole urged the officers to uphold the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and integrity throughout the electoral process, reminding them to always maintain professionalism.
“Your role in ensuring the credibility of this election is vital. We must remain focused and committed to transparency, fairness, and integrity while communicating respectfully and conducting ourselves professionally,” he remarked.
The newly appointed Electoral Officers are:
