The 15th Oniru Coronation held at the popular Oniru of Iru palace had many Obas in attendance. However, one of the royal fathers that stood out was the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi Adeyeye.
The Ooni who arrived while the Deputy Governor of Lagos, Dr Obafemi Hamzat who represented the Gov, Babatunde Sanwo-Olu, was delivering his address no doubt stole the show as his entourage in a customary manner announced the arrival of the first class Oba and descendant of Oduduwa, the founder of the Yoruba race.
Ooni was adorned in the colour of the day, white and a touch of purple but he surely looked outstanding.
He had a royal welcome as he received a standing ovation from the already seated guests before joining other Obas and special guests on the high table.
