On Saturday, 25th June 2023, members of the Oriwu College Old Students Association, OCOSA, class of 82 held its 40th Anniversary, fund-raising luncheon at the Ikorodu Town Hall. The event, which was also covered by Zoom and watched by over 40 old students abroad was meant to acknowledge old teachers and schoolmates and to raise funds for Infrastructural Development projects in the school to mark the 40th anniversary of the 18 graduating students.

The College has produced eminent Nigerians making remarkable contributions all over the country in many spheres of human endeavour. The luncheon enabled the old students to unfold their plans for the school and the students, while sets of awards were presented to those who have been part of the school’s success story.

Different old student classes from the school were well represented and they all did well. They all donated extensively towards the growth of the school.

The old students also gave life moulder awards to some of their teachers who are still alive and posthumous awards were presented to those who have passed on. Lady Evangelist Winifred Dele Oshunfowora, Chief (Mrs) Elizabeth Lawanson and Elder (Mrs) Sabitiyu Akinniranye were present to receive their awards as Pa Ebenezer Olu Okuyiga, Pa Adeoye, Pa Teslim Badmus and Pa Samuel Adesipo were represented by their children.

He stated that the reunion will further strengthen cooperation amongst the set of 82 and contribute to the development of the school and the welfare of the students.
