On Tuesday, 7th, December 2021, the Ooni Of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi marked his 6th year on the throne. It was a grand event in Ile Ife, Osun State.
The event was held at Ooni Of Ife‘s palace and was well attended by many politicians and businessmen in Nigeria.
Ekiti State Governor, Dr.Kayode Fayemi graced the occasion and he congratulated the Ooni for his excellent work over the years and also gave reasons why the Ooni of ife is among the first-class Obas In Nigeria.
Over 30 prominent Obas graced the event to celebrate with the Ooni. They are Oba Fatai Akamo ( Olutori Of Itori land), HRM. Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo ( Alara of Ilara Kingdom), Oba Oluwole Ademolaju ( Oloye Of Oye Ekiti), Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro ( Olojudo Of Ido-Faboro Ekiti), Oba E.A Adebayo ( Elemure Of Emure Ekiti), HRM. Oba Ayeni Folorunsho ( Kogi State), HRM. Oba Adeola Adewuyi Ajakaye ( Ohuyin Of Eyin Ekiti), HRM. Oba Francis Olushola Alao ( Olugbon Of Orile Igbon), Oba Adeogun Ogunbona ( Igbore-Egba Land), Oba Bobade Victor Adeleke ( Onire Of Ire-Ekiti), Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi ( Alapomu Of Apomu), Oba Abolarin Aroyinkeye ( Oranyin Oke-ila), Oba Jayeola Agunbiade ( Alagbara Of Agbara), Oba Alagbe Maroof ( Elegushi Of Egushi Otta), Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo ( Ilufemiloye Otun-Ekiti Moba Land) and alot of other Obas.
Iyalaje Oodua, Princess Toyin Kolade, was visible at the event. She was on her feet all through, making sure everyone was well attended to.
In her speech, she thanked God for allowing Ooni the privilege to be on the Throne for 6 years and she also prayed that Ooni of Ife will celebrate many more years on the Throne.
Many dignitaries were also present. They included Yeye Olufunso Amosun, Balogun Akin Osuntokun, Oloye Folarin Coker, Yeye Omolara Fashola, Yeys Kehinde Oladini Bamgboye and Husband, Ooni’s Sisters and many others.
