Over 50 Top Politicians Honour Otunba ROTIMI PASEDA As He Buries Father In LAGOS

The family members of Paseda would not forget in a hurry the 3rd and 4th day in October 2019, because the two days marked the funeral and interment of their patriarch, Pa Solomon Olaitan Paseda, who joined the saints on the 18th day of July 2019, at age of 90 [1929-2019].  The funeral service took place at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Omu, under the Diocese of Ijebu South-West Church of Nigeria [Anglican Communion] on the 3rd October, while the reception took place in Lagos on the 4th. The children and grandchildren played host to guests for the celebration of the life of their patriarch at a Five-Star Event centre in Lagos. It is the joy and prayer of children to live long enough in good health to bury their parents, and the family of Paseda could not hold back their Joy because Pa Solomon Olaitan Paseda lived an impactful life and left good legacies, which the children and the family at large are proud of.

Otunba Rotimi Paseda, a gubernatorial candidate in Ogun state and his siblings played host to top Politicians in Ogun and Lagos State at their father’s burial in Lagos. It was a grand event, which had the presence of over 5o top politicians. The Erudite Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos had an unusual presence of captains of industries, top politicians and bigwigs in the society on the occasion.  The event centre was filled with the luxury cars of guests, who came to celebrate with the family and security personnel were on standby to ensure orderliness.

The event centre was beautifully decorated in white, gold and green. The tables had the names of the guests on them and walk-way had a beautiful ambience. The colour code was green tones and top socialites rocked their luxury outfits in shades of green. It was a show of luxury and affluence as dignitaries rocked luxury jewellery and accessories.

Yemi Shodimu, a Nigerian veteran dramatist, television presenter, Director and film-maker was the master of ceremony. He entertained the guests both in comedy and in music as he introduced dignitaries present. He is an entertainer per excellence and he made sure there was no boring moment all through the event. He gave several comic storylines that caught the attention of guests as he invited the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family members of Pa Solomon Olaitan Paseda to the dancing floor with their guests. 

Mrs Shola Idubor-Williams, Yeye Vivian Paseda, Mrs Tinuola Olajumoke, Mrs Adenike Omotebi ensured that the guests were properly catered for.

Gracious Band, one of the leading musical bands in Lagos serenaded the guests with entertaining songs as guests made their way to their seats. The live band brought so much energy to the event with its craft. It delivered on different genres of music including highlife, jazz, R and B, funk to mention but a few. They brought back old memories with the old-school songs, which enthralled guests to dance.

Babatunde Olaotan,  Ogun State Ex-speaker Titi Oseni Gomez, Hon Jelili Amusan, Hon Jimi Ogunsoga, Hon Commissioner Bimbo Ashiru, Arc. Ola Oduwole [chairman Ijebu-Ode LG, Otunba Seyi Oduntan, Hon Akande Abiodun, Princess Adeshola Haastrup, Mrs Hafsat Tafawa Balewa, Abosede Akinbosa, HRM Oba Jimi Odeseye,  Hon Tunji Oseni, Mrs Lola Abdul,  Hon. Kuku, Adeola Lusi, Tutu Ogunwusi  Mrs Adigun Ayeni, Alhaja Abisola Aliyu, Mrs Jumoke Olupitan, Fumi, Akorede, Mr and Mrs Olupitan, Pastor Mrs Odukoya were present to honour the family.

Otunba Rotimi Paseda received letters of condolence from his Excellency, Otunba  Engr Gbenga Daniel, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, His Excellency Governor Dapo Abiodun, Dr Abdul Jhalil Tafawa Balewa, Omu Area Central development Council, Otunba Kayode Oke, Senator Anthony O Adefuye to mention but a few.

Olufemi Paseda, Omolayo Paseda, Dr Ayoyimika Olushola, Adekunle Adenuga, Tosin Olushola, Olusola Ibironke, Damilola Okpetu, Olumuyiwa Ibironke, Omoniyi, Oladipo Paseda, Iyanuoluwa Kikielomo, Temilola, Bim Paseda, Adetola TOTO, Tunde Rotimi, Love Idubor-Williams,Efosa Idubor-Williams, Oluwadamilola Oguntade, Joshua and Nike Adeuyi, and Folake Oluwasewa wrote tributes in honour of the late Pa Solomon Olaitan Paseda.
