  Oyo State Government Proudly Supports PERA To Celebrate Its indigenes and residents

Ibadan: August 24, 2017: Pacesetter Entertainment & Recognition Awards (PERA) is set to hold the first of its kind award ceremony in Oyo State.

PERA has been established to acknowledge, encourage and celebrate excellence amongst indigenes and residents of Oyo state who have made an indelible mark in their chosen career.

The Hon. Commissioner for Information, Culture & Tourism Oyo State, Mr. Toye Arulogun says the Oyo State Government recognizes the role of culture and entertainment in the economy of the state, and proudly endorses the Pacesetter Entertainment and Recognition Awards 2017 as part of its commitment to promote the socio cultural heritage of the state.

He further applauds the organizers of this prestigious award, adding that PERA will not only create an avenue for celebrating indigenes and residents, but will aid the positive socio cultural legacy from Oyo State to Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world.

On his part, The Chairman Organizing Committee Mr. Rotimi Martins popularly called (Alariwo of Afrika), says PERA promises to be the largest coming together of Oyo state biggest and brightest entertainment and business stakeholders.

It also will serve as an exposé for citizens of the state to recognize their own shining stars doing remarkably well; such as the Veteran Actress Bimbo Akintola the brand ambassador for the award, 9ice, Saheed Osupa, Funke Adesiyan, Lafup, Aramide, Tilaman, Shina Peller, Akin Alabi and a host of others.

Pacesetter Entertainment & Recognition Awards panel of judges have thoroughly put together 35 categories of outstanding indigenes and residents of the state. The Nominee list will be unveiled on the website at www.peraawards.com and text message codes will also be released to allow everyone participate.

The voting process will run from October 1 to November 15, 2017 to allow adequate collation of votes and final selection of the people’s choice.

The award night has been slated for December 3, 2017 at Jogor Centre, Ibadan with the theme: Celebrating Excellence & Achievement in Oyo State.
