Every October 20 is always a special day for Balikis Rabiu Ashale who is based in the city of Paris, France. This year ‘s celebration was done is a more special way as she did well in reaching out to the less privileged back at home.
The Ikorodu born and bred celebrant is a member of Golden Standard Club, a popular all female social club in Lagos state, Nigeria who call principle is giving back to the society through various charitable means.
She was able to achieve a lot through members of the club as they all turned out in their numbers to make her birthday celebration huge. They helped her reach out to quite a large pool of the less privileged in the Ikorodu. They reached out to them by distributing prepared foods and drinks. The group also proceeded to the motherless babies’ home to deliver some items as a way of assisting the inhabitants.
They didn’t stop at that; they went into the markets in Ikorodu to give financial grants to some petty traders in other to help boost their respective businesses. They achieved all these, before finally retiring to have fun as they celebrated, Balikis, one of them who God has kept for them and blessed at 40. They really made the day worthwhile.
When asked how she feels at 40, the beautiful and highly stylish lady expressed gratitude to God for the precious gift of life. She said it was something she has been waiting for. Reason why she decided to celebrate it by reaching out to the less privileged.
Even though, she was not in the country to celebrate with her friends and members of the Golden Standard Ladies Club, she took time to appreciate them all for standing her on her day and helping reach out to the less privileged. She prayed that they shall always have reasons to rejoice.
